Very hard to walk upstairs when you can’t see your feet, never mind carrying a coffin and it being hot and milllions watching too. They’ll deserve a drink after this!

It’s got in the sun in my back garden and I’m in west London not far away and not wearing a thick uniform with a hat on and carrying a coffin

I'm generally not a fan of the royal family, but agree with a pp that to me, this is for each & everyone of the people who died as a result of covid in the past year.

I also think it must be so hard for a family who are "on show" as they mourn - they're doing very well to hold it together.

My heart was in my mouth as they climbed all those stairs with the coffin. But as always, perfectly done.

The poor queen she just looks like a sad lonely old lady I think its a bit rubbish she has to have the cameras inside the church as well.

indeed, seeing them all desperately putting their masks on the second they entered the chapel as no doubt if they we're even a second late there would be people baying for their blood. Remarkable dignity.

Crying for the queen, as so many others have said, she just looks so small and sad. And alone. Charles got to me too, he is clearly really struggling to hold it together.
