I know everyone is different, but What if any were your side effects from it. How can I expect to feel afterwards.

Just booked mine for the 27th.
Don't want to know any details tbh.
Jab and go!!
Grin

Chemenger · 14/04/2021 11:27

I had a bit of a headache and felt generally under the weather the next day, then fine after that.

Keepyourdistance000 · 14/04/2021 11:30

I had my first jab (AZ) at 12pm last Tuesday. At around 3pm I started feeling very tired and cold. By around 9pm I was feeling feverish and went to bed. Burning up most of the night, didn't sleep well and was very tired the next day, when I also had diarrhoea in the evening, but this may not have been related to the jab.

Felt completely fine and back to normal on Thursday.

I had a slightly sore arm until Sunday.

So around 24-48 hours of feeling rubbish, but no regrets whatsoever.

Tired for a few days, manageable though, bit shaky on night 1, no fever though. Sore arm for a few days, like I’d been punched in the arm which I wasn’t expecting because I didn’t even feel the jab Grin all in all very mild and manageable for me.

SoupDragon · 14/04/2021 11:35

I had mine first thing in the morning, woke up feeling absolutely crap at midnight and was fine in the morning.

It took at least a fortnight for my arm not to hurt when I lay on it or pushed on it though.

EvilOnion · 14/04/2021 11:37

I've had both mine (Pfizer) - work related, no underlying health conditions.

#1 - very sore arm the next day, swollen glands and a bit of a sore throat 8 days later but didn't come to anything and all cleared up within 48 hours.

#2 - similar but less severe symptoms (they weren't severe first time but you know what I mean!) and glands/throat were sorted within 24 hours. I was very tired for 2 days though, but I have insomnia so not entirely sure it was related.

No one in my work place has had any severe symptoms with a mix of AZ and Pfizer.

Cailleach · 14/04/2021 11:46

I had mine at 5.30pm last night - I feel really rough today. Cold, shivery, aching, banging headache.

I am so glad I am off work today and tomorrow.....

fashionablydusty · 14/04/2021 12:05

I had the AZ first thing on a Friday morning. My arm ached a bit but I felt fine immediately afterwards. Through the night I felt shivery/achy and didn't sleep well. The next day I was shattered- not sure whether this was due to lack of sleep or a side effect in itself. By that evening I felt much better but was more tired than usual for about a week.

Purplecatshopaholic · 14/04/2021 12:07

Had Pfizer yesterday. No symptoms at all as yet..

Thatwentbadly · 14/04/2021 12:07

I felt awful about 10 hours afterwards, vomiting, shivers, blinding headache, aches in my bones, light sensitively. 24 hours later was like a switch was flicked and it all started to dispense. 3 days later now and I can’t lay on my left arm as it uncomfortable and a little sore to move but no problem carrying my massive toddler around.

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 14/04/2021 12:09

Thanks for the heads up everyone.

I had AZ and had a mild to moderate hungover feeling the next day, and was thirsty. It cleared about 24 hrs after the vaccine and was well worth it. Had much worse experiences at Uni after too many tequila shots! 😂

Bythehairywartsonmywitchychin · 14/04/2021 12:16

Had mine yesterday afternoon. The vaccine stung when the nurse did it, but otherwise I felt ok before I went to bed...

I however woke up a few times with awful pain in my arm, so got up early and took some paracetamol. I’m currently laid still on the sofa as every time I move my arm it bloody hurts. I also get pain after other vaccines so expected it TBH....

Susie477 · 14/04/2021 12:19

I felt fine, but had a slightly sore arm for several days.

DP felt fine initially, then threw up during the night and felt crap for the next 24h. He still went to work though.

Both early 50s, both AZ.

FinallyHere · 14/04/2021 12:19

I had AZ I was a bit nervous and chatted away til the lovely nurse said there, all done now and I burst into tears. 😁. She was a nurse volunteering on her days off

No side effects. I don't usually drink much but I had read that not drinking for a few days before and ten days afterwards gives your immune system the best possible go at building immunity so went with that.

ADandyHighwayman · 14/04/2021 12:35

I had it (AZ) a couple of days ago.

Nothing the same day. Very poor/fitful sleep that night. Heavy, achiness and sweating yesterday. Easily helped with 2 Paracetamol and a 2 hour nap.

Arm has been fine throughout.

Fine today.

Dangleclack · 14/04/2021 12:43

Had 2 x AZ , no ill effects at all, not even sore arm.

Bluedeblue · 14/04/2021 12:51

I think how old you are makes a difference.

I'm 51. Had my first vaccine (AZ) 3 weeks ago. I had absolutely NO reaction whatsoever. Not even a sore arm!

DH is 48. He had his about 7 weeks ago (Pfizer), and again absolutely no reaction.

My 79 year old Dad had no rection.

Our 22 year old daughter had AZ, and was poorly for 24 hours (fever/chills etc).

hellswelshy · 14/04/2021 12:52

I had my first AZ vaccine on the weekend, I'm 45. Day after I felt awful, like bad flu, stayed on the sofa all day. I'm on day 4 now and still feeling ropey, very tired, and my arm is very painful. I'm still taking paracetamol. Hoping the 2nd dose is better!

Meruem · 14/04/2021 12:56

I'm early 50s and had 1st AZ about a month ago. Not one side effect at all.

LandGirlJudy · 14/04/2021 13:02

I had the AZ on Easter Sunday, so a week and a half ago, and had no side effects at all. The next day my arm was a little tender only if you touched it or I lay on it, but even that only lasted about 25 hours. Been absolutely fine. And I was dreading being ill from it! I'm 51

DifficultPifcultLemonDifficult · 14/04/2021 13:11

I'm 41 and had the AZ a few weeks back.

I had sore joints for about a day afterwards and that was it.

Iamanunsafebuilding · 14/04/2021 13:13

Am 50, had AZ 3 weeks ago and had a sore arm for 48 hours. Was tired the following day but I still went to work and for a run in the evening

Longdistance · 14/04/2021 13:14

I had mine over two weeks ago. I had a sore arm, about day 5 I had a hot spot on my arm that was sore to touch. It’s gone down now, but is visible to where it was. I felt yucky the next day, a bit nauseous and not right, other than that ok,

1forAll74 · 14/04/2021 13:16

I had my jab some weeks ago in March, I am 79. Jab at 4pm, then at about 9pm, I felt a bit shaky and cold, only for about 10 minutes though. Went to bed and slept well, Next day woke up and felt very listless and fatigued. had some hot tea and some toast, got in bed again, and fell asleep as no energy to do anything at all for most of the day. I l live alone, and forgot to feed my three cats, so managed to feed them all at the end of the day at about midnight ! Next day I felt ok and normal again, and no sore arm at all.
