Just heard Nikki Grahame has died

This is so sad. I saw the go fund me page set up by her friends and there was a picture to show just how ill she was and it was extremely shocking and upsetting. Poor, poor woman, what an absolute shame for her.

At the time...Was it 2004?, people who worked in this area {Mental health, addiction/eating disorders} specifically mentioned Nikki and said she was not really tough enough to cope.
It was clear she was very vulnerable.

Anorexia is such a bastard.

Still one of the few remaining mental health diseases where so much of the treatment is focussed on the physical results.

Poor woman, and her poor, poor mum.

She’d been battling anorexia since she was a child. I hadn’t realised how ill she had become in recent months.

This was a shock to read this, I hope she’s finally found peace.

So sad! RIP Nikki - she suffered so much with the anorexia. Goes to show how severe the disease can be. Condolences to her family and friends.

This is such sad news. She was so young. I saw the interview with her mum who seemed so lovely.
A real tragedy.

Poor woman. I had to look up when she was on BB; it was 2006 15 years ago. Time is odd, somethings seem to have been forever ago and yet others are like yesterday.

I hope she has found peace, her poor family and friends will be devastated. As ever, so sad for those left behind. Such sad news.

Awww, so sad. Sad She was so funny and entertaining in Big Brother. Sad I am actually so shocked, even though I knew she was quite ill.............

She was genuinely one of the most memorable people EVER in Big Brother.

It’s such a cruel and devastating illness, and is woefully under treated in this country.

The NHS provision to battle anorexia is disgraceful in this country. It's devastating that she didn't get the help she needed. I know her family's pain all too well. My sister was refused NHS help as she had a BMI of 16.6 which wasn't considered low enough for anorexia treatment. She died of multiple organ failure brought on by anorexia, just a bit younger than Nikki, and the hospital refused to apologise in any way for failing her so badly.

So so sad to see this, poor poor woman.

I saw her mum on this morning a couple of weeks ago; she said that big brother had been good for Nikki I think- she was surprised that people liked her, bless her!

Her poor mum, really sad to see this. I really hope that help improves for people with waiting disorders and all mental health conditions.
