Marley - boy or girl?

When you hear the name Marley, do you think boy or girl? (Or dog? )

Ghost. I hate dog Marley with a passion and would never inflict the name on any unsuspecting puppy.

Gorgeous name for a boy and love the shortening of Marl. Don’t think it’s try hard, so surprised that’s coming through

Never heard a child called it but know three dogs.

But if it's between boy and girl then I'd say it's more of a boys name

Would assume girl which is odd because I've taught 2 and they were both boys

Ghost. Old, miserable, trailing long chains and warning misers not to be as much of a dickhead as he was in life.

Or the child of middleclass hippies who have a large house in West London, Dad is permanently stoned, Mum wears purple elephant trousers and attends 5am yoga classes before coming back for a raw vegan smoothie of spinach, spirulina and virtuosity - then they invite their friends around for a Saturday night of coke and ricecakes whilst they discuss how terrible compulsory vaccination and formal education are for children.

My prejudices are at the very least, very detailed.
