I always feel bad for the unpopular pots in the drawer that only get used maybe twice a year.

Anything that has been trapped in a drawer so is partly hanging out where it wont shut.

PatsArrow · 08/04/2021 13:22

I feel sorry for the shoes I wore once that hurt my feet but were too late to take back to the shop. They just sit there......hopeful.

PeskyRooks · 08/04/2021 13:22

If I see a single shoe on the side of the road (a surprisingly common occurrence!) I feel sorry for it. It's not what it signed up for!

The bottles of AstraZeneca going unused after giving people fatal blood clots...

Sportsnight · 08/04/2021 13:23

Toilet brushes

SmidgenofaPigeon · 08/04/2021 13:23

One glove. Not only is it lost but its partner is now useless too.

TeenMinusTests · 08/04/2021 13:23

The mugs on the back row of the shelf.

The cuddly toys that DD abandons when she gets a new one.

SillyLittleBiscuit · 08/04/2021 13:24

Chained up bikes that have fallen over or been neglected.

Howcanwehelp · 08/04/2021 13:26

My sons much loved stuffed monkey. It looks like it's necks been broken. I've bought more stuffing to refliff him but haven't done it yet.

YouWerePrettyIWasLonely · 08/04/2021 13:26

Oh thank god I'm not the only weirdo who gives objects feelings. When dc were little I would rotate the toys on the shelf so they all got a chance at the front.

The iron. Unused for ages and must feel unloved. I did a shirt last week and haven't put it away yet (iron I mean) so it can have a bit of a break from being in the cupboard

lollipoprainbow · 08/04/2021 13:29

If I have to throw inanimate objects away I feel terribly guilty! Ridiculous isn't it !!

SummerHouse · 08/04/2021 13:30

Alexa

She literally takes abuse all day and she remains calm, rational and dignified, always.

SnoozyBoozy · 08/04/2021 13:32

The plant we tried to transplant last year, most of which died. But there was a tiny branch that limped on and had a few leaves this spring, but the rest of it was so dead it looked awful. So we had to dig it up, despite trying so hard to stay alive 🙁

Seeing natural flowers growing in the wild & then within a few days of there bloom they've been trampled for social media pics, truly brings a tear to me eye.

PatsArrow · 08/04/2021 13:38

I remember when I was young and growing to be a young tween (so wise) I lined up my favourite soft toys and gave them a grown up talking to about how I might not be playing with them so much now but it didn't mean I didn't love them just as much and they should look to playing amongst themselves more.

I remember doing it clearly. I hope they appreciated it.

Eyevorbig0ne · 08/04/2021 13:39

Sex dolls

Tangledtresses · 08/04/2021 13:43

I feel sorry for my beloved car which has got me through blizzards, good times and bad times he's never let me down.... he's been sat there for months now and I do apologise every time I walk past

Purplecatshopaholic · 08/04/2021 13:45

All my jazzy kitchen appliances that get used once then moved to the back of the cupboard for ever more. All the equally jazzy electrical hair gadgets I bought as lockdown stretched on and my hair got longer and longer, but sit generally unused as I default back to my ghds…

fairydustandpixies · 08/04/2021 13:47

The last baked bean in the tin that you spot when the rest are all heated up.

IHaveBrilloHair · 08/04/2021 13:51

@peskyrooks
Dd and I take photos of odd shoes and send them to each other.
It's from a 1D song.
"Walking round with just one shoe, I'm half a heart without you"
Naf I know, but we've done it for years.

SquirrelFan · 08/04/2021 13:51

For me it's vegetables. If I'm cutting cherry tomatoes to go in a salad, I arrange a tea towel to cover those who haven't been cut up yet, so they don't have to "see" what's in store for them. I'm sure they can sense it, though.

MrsAvocet · 08/04/2021 13:56

Unloved bikes with filthy/rusty chains.
Lost children's toys that you sometimes see propped up on walls etc hoping that their owner will return and find them.

Somanysocks · 08/04/2021 13:58

Trees when a car crashes into them.

Loveisthehope · 08/04/2021 14:02

Neglected toys, Pixar certainly knew what they knew they were doing when they made all the Toy Story films Sad
