When I worked in Mayfair I was doing a Post Office run which meant I had to walk past Claridges.

There were more people around than usual and as I walked past the main entrance I had to walk in the road as people were flooding out of the door. I turned the corner to head down the road that runs along side it and came face to face with Matt Damon, Brad Pitt and George Clooney. As I did a double take they laughed and said hello to me. I said hello back took another step forward and literally bumped into Mick Jagger! Apparently the cast of Oceans 11 were staying there for an interview and Mick Jagger virtually lived there. A fire alarm had gone off inside meaning that they all had to evacuate.. I can imagine my face was an absolute picture.

I also used to see Paul Nichols most mornings on my way into work, we used to say good morning and carry on our way. He was bloody gorgeous I have to say and made going to work something to look forward to.

Nigella lawson lived in the same steeet as me (although she looked dlso different in real life i didnt realise it was her until someone told me). Ellie goulding livesxa few doors along now so dies paul simenon from the clash .we see enfless 'slebs' as we have a house in central London and they are udually walking around the area. I actually live in north londin and there are as many tv and film prople here. I am totally unaware of who they all are though until im told. Its snt as though it makes a difference after all. They're either nice or not nice people.
Was hillarious when a man i kept seeing while i was out and about had idle chat with me and helped me with the buggy often. He was very nice, one day my teenage son was with me snd i saw the man as usual who again helped me and chatted. My son nearly passed out and then ran off on his phone before demanding to know how i knew the man....appatently hes a super famous Game if Thrones actor (never watched it). This was ultra newsworthy in his mind and i was stupid...i just think hes a helpful nice guy.

Spoke to Rik Mayall when he was in Edinburgh festival,he was hilarious . Ben Elton,. Billy Connolly,Robin Cook in the pub, Diana Rigg at a bus stop ! All during festival.
My eldest sister met Jimi Hendrix, at the Greens playhouse in Glasgow before it became the Apollo

The author Jill Murphy and her the little Boy in Lapland (staying in the next cabin). She was DDs favourite author at that time and she had one of the Worst Witch books with her to read while we were away. Jill Murphy signed her book and drew a gorgeous illustration next to her Name. DD more chuffed with that then meeting Father Christmas.

Sheila Mercier (one of the original characters on Emmerdale) lived next door to us. Sometimes had parties with loads of the cast there so saw quite a few of them in her back garden. When she moved we inherited the cat from down the road that she fed after it moved out of its original home when the owners got a dog.

Jimmy Saville all the bloody time as he lived near us and went to two cafes we often went to. Vile, grubby, weirdo.

Met quite a few, living in London, including Royals, but my favourite spot was Matthew Perry, on Kensington High Street at the height of Friends fame. Very exciting.

In an unaccustomed fit of high culture I went to see Brecht’s Life of Galileo at the Young Vic with DD. As we were chatting to the friendly usher, who should sweep by but one of England’s leading Actors! wearing an actual cravat and trilby just in case you didn’t notice that he was an Actor!

Usher immediately let the side down from our by giving us huge stage whisper of “OMG It’s Sirius Black!!!!”
