The chap who played Blakey from on the buses, Mike from the young ones, both in Ealing. dean andrews jumped in front of my car once at Victoria station and Nicolas witchell literally ran into me heading fast round a corner in Pimlico. Shorter and wrinklier that on TV and didn't apologise. Sat next to an EastEnders and The Bill actress whose name I can't recall on the tube. Sat breastfeeding and chatting to a guy I thought I knew from my old ward in Roundhay Park in Leeds one sunny day. Turns out he was a big emmerdale actor. I had no idea till I saw him in the cover of tv quick or similar. He was very polite and didn't let in he had no idea who I was. Shared a bench in Wagamama's in Birmingham with Frank Skinner but that's off topic.

I ran into (literally) Paul Weller in a Boots in West London back in the 90s - it was terrifying as he was very tall and wearing a long leather jacket - I was so bloody embarrassed - I also unwittingly sat next to Kaya Scodelario (? Effy in Skins) when I took teen daughter to NH Carnival about 5 years ago - she was smoking a fag, wearing no makeup and was beautiful.

Lynda Bellingham. She was very lovely, as I said a big hello as if I knew her, then realised that I didn’t really and got all embarrassed.

I met Lynda Bellingham at a media party years ago. She was so lovely, I don't know why but I was standing next to her at one point, and she was telling the little group we were in some story or other, and she took my hand while she was telling it to emphasise her point. She was lots of fun.

I've come across a variety of famouses over the years, mostly through work, so I don't tend to remember them when I just see them in the street IYSWIM? But I do recall walking past Princess Anne and Zara Phillips about 25 years ago in the Cotswolds. My friend and I both did a double take and said, 'was that...', we then spotted Zara giggling at us.

Adam Ant in London, early 80s. I was about 11 and a huge fan. I was with my much older sister and we walked back past him to see if it was him. It was and my sister asked for an autograph, he obliged! I was over the moon.

Also saw Pauline Collins once in John Lewis Brent Cross.

I once served Joshua Rozenberg (legal correspondent) in John Lewis in Oxford Street, he returned two pairs of trousers 😂

But the most memorable one was seeing my beloved Victoria Wood in Brent Cross. She was going down an escalator and I was going up. I smiled at her. I did consider going back down and speaking to her but I didn’t want her to feel hassled. I really regret it now. RIP Victoria 😢
