Ex partner sat next to Vincent Kompany (? Man city) on a flight to Amsterdam years ago. Doesn't follow footy so didn't have a clue who he was Grin. Said he was twitchy and constantly on his phone. Very very muscular.
Dp saw Peter Kay at a christening.

Forgot I was on the same flight to LA as Keira Knightley. To be fair no one looks their best after 10 hours on a red eye, but she took bag of bones to a while new level. Dark circles under her eyes. Still didn't get a hard time about what she was doing in the US from the west LAX guys though...

Taylor Swift, walking down the street in Notting Hill with an entourage.

Passed Prince Philip driving his carriage on the Long Walk in Windsor.

Also in Windsor, Liz Jones of the Daily Mail (actually embarrassed to admit I know who she is), covering Eugenie's wedding. I was also in the crowd at Harry and Meghan's wedding and saw the procession.

I used to work in Sainbury's and served Ruby Wax at my checkout.

Ricky Gervais, coming out of a church hall in Marlow. I think he might have been scouting it as a filming location.

Julie Hesmondhalgh, on a Northern train pulling into Manchester Piccadilly, only a couple of days after her character Hayley had died in Corrie. I said 'Hi' and thanked her for years of entertainment Smile

Sleepdeprivedmama1 · 08/04/2021 08:33

Camilla Parker Bowles spoke to dd (age 8) who was doing an activity at a museum. Dd didn’t respond. The next day there was an article in the Fail of ‘Camilla visits museum and meets schoolchildren’ and a photo of dd ignoring her.
I asked her why, and she said indignantly “I was colouring in!”

ArtemisiaGentle · 08/04/2021 08:46

I was going to say I've seen lots of slebs on the Tube but lots of you got ahead of me. (I work for TfL)

Most recently saw a grumpy Richard Osman at Turnham Green.

Nicest person I ever met was Cheryl Baker about 17 years ago.

Colleagues have spotted Rihanna, Leonardo di Caprio and Bear Grylls too.

Gooseysgirl · 08/04/2021 08:50

A couple more I've just remembered..
I was standing next to Gabrielle at a small gig, she was there to support the performer who had toured with her - she is absolutely lovely!
Alex Jones walking in Primrose Hill when her oldest was a baby
Colin Farrell at the opening ceremony of an event (I couldn't believe how tiny he was!!)
Roy Keane at an airport

Gooseysgirl · 08/04/2021 08:52

Last one...
Rupert Everett at a nightclub in Vauxhall

Iwantacookie · 08/04/2021 08:54

Prince Charles when I was about 10. We were on a school trip to London and he drove past in his car. I managed to take a picture too.
At the time I was so excited I remember telling everyone ide met prince Charles Blush

Historytoo · 08/04/2021 08:55

No, but my brother was propping up a bar in a Stratford-upon-Avon pub years ago when the bloke who was standing next to him ordered a drink in a very familiar voice - Patrick Stewart. I'm guessing he still likes the town as his early career was as an RSC actor. I'd have liked to be there.

ItTakesTwo121 · 08/04/2021 08:57

I met Shaun Udal, English cricketer and had no idea who I was chatting away too

LibbyL92 · 08/04/2021 08:57

Anthony Joshua

Max from East Enders

Bruce Dickinson from Iron Maiden

And a bunch of Z listers if they count

LibbyL92 · 08/04/2021 08:58

Oh! And years ago I bumped into Rod Stewart and his wife in a garden centre lol

BeatBox6 · 08/04/2021 08:58

I once saw the late and great actor Alan Rickman, walking past me down the street in SW London.

Livpool · 08/04/2021 09:00

Billy Connolly and Eric Idle (together) walking down a street in Manhattan- it was surreal
Loads of footballers
Someone from Hollyoaks down Lark Lane in Liverpool ('my friend was VERY excited but I had no clue)

Waxonwaxoff0 · 08/04/2021 09:00

I saw Dave Berry in Leicester Square.

Waxonwaxoff0 · 08/04/2021 09:01

Also see Vicky Mcclure sometimes as she's from my area.

Frazzled2207 · 08/04/2021 09:01

Becky Adlington lives locally. Has a daughter same age as my son so in the usual mum places.

itsgettingwierd · 08/04/2021 09:02

One of the Two Ronnies.

They had a holiday home in the country I lived in at the time.

picknmix1984 · 08/04/2021 09:02

David Dimblebey in a shop queue in Dorset. He chatted to us.

Sarah Beeney coming down a furniture shop stairs in Leeds she smiled at me.
