I like films with a good story, and characters that are interesting rather than fitting neatly into the category of good guys or bad guys. Not into fantasy or sci-fi.

TIA

I watched the film Run, it was really good its a thriller with two main characters mother and daughter

WingBingo · 05/04/2021 18:55

Oh yes, Run is worth a watch.

LilyPond2 · 05/04/2021 18:58

Molly's Game was quite good.

I liked Run too.

Boy Erased.
Trial by Fire.

I really enjoyed both last week.

IHaveBrilloHair · 05/04/2021 19:02

Run is next on my list.

I enjoyed run

MarkRuffaloCrumble · 05/04/2021 19:15

I watched Molly’s Game last night. Really enjoyed it (but I do play poker so that might help).

dollybird · 05/04/2021 19:32

The Dig was fascinating, based on a true story

Alsohuman · 05/04/2021 19:33

News of the World.

ElderMillennial · 05/04/2021 19:34

Run was ok. I preferred Greta and Deadly Illusions

Time Travellers Wife is on there but maybe that counts as sci fi

parrotonmyshoulder · 05/04/2021 19:48

Just watched ‘Uncorked’ last night. Slow but enjoyable.
‘Tropic Thunder’ tonight! Bit of a difference.

Shadowboy · 05/04/2021 19:50

I’ve recently subscribed to Netflix having had Prime for years and feel a bit disappointed- it feels like it’s mainly series rather than films or am I just looking in the wrong place?

NeverMetANiceOne · 05/04/2021 19:50

I watched The Dirt last night, the story of Motley Crue, I thought it was brilliant, but only if you are in to that sort of thing!

Xyzzzzz · 05/04/2021 19:50

If you like a lighthearted film- crazy rich Asians is fun.

Fembot123 · 05/04/2021 19:54

The Call

Alannathelioness · 05/04/2021 19:54

Rose Island, if you don't mind subtitles. Funny and interesting, based on a true story.

AbsolutelyPatsy · 05/04/2021 19:58

Netflix does have films, just take some searching

ElderMillennial · 05/04/2021 19:59

I watched Crazy Rich Asians

Lots of others I haven't seen - thank you for the recommendations

Yes I would say Netflix, whilst it does have films, is better for the shows
