I'm having crispy beef with garlic and chilli, fried rice. Can of Coke. Maybe a spicy chicken spring roll (these come in portions of two so one of you can have the other if you like)

Should I order a portion of salt and chilli chips for the table?

Chicken fried rice for me. I'm a girl of simple tastes! Oh, and a couple of duck spring rolls if they have them!

You need to use the prawn crackers as scoops for the other dishes, particularly anything rice based, though I forgot to put that on my order.

Well, I can save you some money.
The only Chinese in easy reach of us is dreadful. No matter what you order it all comes gloating in thin brown gravy that looks just like dirty washing up water.
Would love a good Chinese like we used to get in a brilliant restaurant we regularly used when I worked in Manchester.

Sounds like a fab night, OP. Mine's a chicken satay skewers, chow mein and mini vegetable spring rolls please. If I was feeling particularly greedy, I'd have to get a small portion of chilli chips too.

I bought some prawn cracker discs from a farm shop the other day so I can make my own - I'm really excited to see how they'll puff up as they cook!

Wow - I really want Chinese now! I wasn’t very well on my birthday in December & missed out on my fav takeaway & been waiting ever since.
I am torn between duck in plum sauce or chicken with bamboo shoots & water chestnuts.

And I have never tried the salt ‘n’ pepper chips or the chilli ones so can I have some of both please

And man that deep fried ice cream sounds amazing!

It's bread filled with prawn paste dipped in egg and sesame seeds and fried, amazeballs! (That's how it was made when I worked in a Chinese takeaway back in 1998 )
