I'm getting us all a Chinese for dinner...

What do you fancy? I'm paying.

I'm having crispy beef with garlic and chilli, fried rice. Can of Coke. Maybe a spicy chicken spring roll (these come in portions of two so one of you can have the other if you like)

Should I order a portion of salt and chilli chips for the table?

King prawn satay & veggie spring rolls please.

IHaveBrilloHair · 05/04/2021 16:14

I'm not really a dessert person but I could go a wee banana fritter if anyone has one going spare?

MinnieJackson · 05/04/2021 16:16

Ooh thanks!
I'll have beef and broccoli, some fried rice, maybe some honey mustard chicken and I'll pinch some duck and hoisin please. Easter Grin

I will join in for take away and LoD. My order is Singapore Chow Mein with Curry Sauce please, and I'll nick a couple of chips if there's any going spare.

Cheers OP. 🍷

littlewhitestar · 05/04/2021 16:23

Holy shit that looks amazing!

That looks good but £200!

Meh £200 is cheap, their New Year set menu was something like £380! They do have a Michelin star TBF. Lots of fine dining restaurants have joined Deliveroo during lockdown. Not that I am ordering fancy Chinese takeaways or caviar (a snip at £275 for 30g) and champagne but I do like to browse the menus when they pop up. Anyone up for sharing a foie gras egg fried rice and an aromatic spicy and tongue-numbed fried frog pot? not that I would actually eat either of those dishes for ethical reasons but this is fantasy

Pearbear · 05/04/2021 16:26

I’ll have a special foo yung with sesame prawn toasts and I’ll pinch some of your chips

Nice cold can of Diet Coke to go with it thanks

S111n20 · 05/04/2021 16:28

This all sounds sooo nice 👍

thanksforallthewhales · 05/04/2021 16:32

salt and chilli pepper prawns and beef in chilli sauce

AlfonsoTheTerrible · 05/04/2021 16:32

Since you've so kindly offered, OP - may I please have spring rolls, Kung Pao chicken, crispy duck pancakes, boiled rice and chips?

I'm happy to drink whatever's on offer.

Thank you! Next one's on me.

Janxyb · 05/04/2021 16:32

Chicken satay skewers, beef chow main and crispy seaweed please 🤤😋

BarbaraofSeville · 05/04/2021 16:33

@Workinghardeveryday

What time shall we come round op 😁. No idea what to order, dp doesn’t like Chinese so we never have it but always wanted to try it but no idea what to try if he did 🤣
How can he not like Chinese? It's not like there's not much choice on the menu and he can always have sausage and chips while you have what you want.

I'll have a pancake roll and Singapore noodles with half the normal amount of chilli because I'm a wimp, so don't get mine mixed up with everyone else's.

Thank you!! I would like chilli and salt prawns, egg fried rice and pak Choi

GreenSlide · 05/04/2021 16:36

@Mother87

Am fine with paper plates too & chuck it all in a big bin liner at the end. What about dessert? Fkton of ice cream?
My Chinese does deep fried ice cream so I'll order some of that, with banana fritters.

@GreenSlide yum I love crispy chilli beef but today I'm going for sweet and sour pork, plain rice and crispy seaweed please! If we're really hungry in this house we also order a starter of crispy aromatic duck with pancakes and plum sauce... does anyone else like this as a lot of people don't as it's a bit fatty tbh?! Grin

Mumdiva99 · 05/04/2021 16:38

8:30/9:00???? Are you kidding. You know when we are up at 7 in the morning, lunch is around 12:30 and tea time is anywhere between 5 and 7 depending on kids activities. 9pm is nearly bedtime. So whilst I appreciate your hospitality and the invitation I will need to order my own Chinese at home. Have a good night!!

GreenSlide · 05/04/2021 16:38

@DahliaMacNamara

I'll have salt and pepper chips with mushrooms in black bean sauce. Maybe a vegetable spring roll or two. The nearest takeaway doing the mushrooms is 30 miles away, and I've been known to eat it in the park, but rest assured I get it from the shop myself and get DH to cart it to my bench of choice. Since you're hosting, OP, can I bag a comfy seat?
Well I'm pregnant so I'm getting the sofa but you can have the other end

RainyDay2020 · 05/04/2021 16:38

Oh I’d go mad for a Chinese meal right now!
I’ll have crispy duck and pancakes, beef in black bean and special fried rice please (dribbles...)

ColdTattyWaitingForSummer · 05/04/2021 16:39

I’ll have a scoop of chilli beef, and order something in black bean sauce with egg fried rice please!

Limalama · 05/04/2021 16:39

Banana fritters - I have found my tribe Grin

They don't do ...... (whisper) toffee apples do they?

Mother87 · 05/04/2021 16:39

GreenSlide - deep fried ice cream should do the trickGrin

shinynewapple21 · 05/04/2021 16:40

I think I'll just have the fried rice and chips with curry sauce please . Nice and cheap! Although I might fancy banana fritter and ice cream for desert .

Mother87 · 05/04/2021 16:41

Still a bit twitchy about the quantities of Singapore noodles... best to over-order those GreenSlide just in case

Eminybob · 05/04/2021 16:41

@RupertRupertTheBear

In your imaginary world, can we binge all of season 6?
If we are imaginary binging can we binge on Fleabag series 3?

I’ll have chicken Kung po and Singapore fried rice OP please

shinynewapple21 · 05/04/2021 16:42
