Do you have any plans or is it going to be a quiet easter this year?

emmathedilemma · 01/04/2021 13:31

nothing because my family are over 200 miles away but thanks for the reminder that I still can't visit them

Gerla · 01/04/2021 13:32

Going to church. We don't usually go but everything else is shut. Grin

weebarra · 01/04/2021 13:33

Nothing. We're in Scotland and family are about 50 miles away in another local authority.

Nothing as in Scotland we can't go to other people's gardens or travel yet.

Stratfordplace · 01/04/2021 13:35

No plans, nothing has opened up and still only 6 allowed to meet up, I think.

TeenMinusTests · 01/04/2021 13:37

zooming them.

steppemum · 01/04/2021 13:38

church - finally re-opened and we can sing outside, so singing in the carpark and then indoors.

we were going to have my parents over for lunch round the fire pit, but the forecast is seriously crap, so we are postponing. If it turns out to be fine, we will go and have tea in their garden

HarkAVagrant · 01/04/2021 13:40

It is also DS’s birthday so we have a pretty packed day. House decorated. Presents. Pancakes for breakfast. Egg hunt in garden. My mum and dad coming round for party lunch in garden. Crackers. Maybe go to park. Some games. Had planned a roast turkey dinner in evening but think it will be better to have it on Monday when we can appreciate it more and have more time to cook it.

Figgygal · 01/04/2021 13:41

My family are 500 miles away in Scotland so we would usually go up in Easter holidays that can’t this year for obvious reason

We will go and sit in the in-laws garden for a bit I expect as the weather is supposed to be nice. Seen them fleetingly since Christmas day and both of those occasions were outside as well.

Then we are going to make pizzas with the kids, watch Peter Rabbit movie and drink gin

justasking111 · 01/04/2021 13:42

We are in Wales forecast not good, will not see anyone then, I am tearful to be honest, a duvet day beckons. DS did offer the grandkids to stay overnight to give them a break, but even that is banned this year.

CMOTDibbler · 01/04/2021 13:45

Nothing. MIL is too ill to sit outside and we can't risk being inside with her (ds is at school, and even a cold would probably be the end for her, FIL would never forgive us), so it'll be just another weekend day

HollyBollyBooBoo · 01/04/2021 13:46

Just us and my mum, same bubble since bubbles began!

UnsolicitedDickPic · 01/04/2021 13:47

Nothing out of the ordinary - family are 100 miles away so Easter eggs in our pjs with DD and then a Sunday roast probably. Weather supposed to be shite so definitely a day at home.

ilovesooty · 01/04/2021 13:47

Nothing. My family are in another part of the country and I hadn't seen them for ages before covid anyway.

MinnieMountain · 01/04/2021 13:49

We are MIL’s single person support bubble. She’s coming over for roast duck and staying the night.

After getting the idea on here, I have hired a hot tub.

We normally spend Easter weekend in Wales with my dad.

elliejjtiny · 01/04/2021 13:52

Church on zoom and eating too much chocolate probably.

Silkiescat · 01/04/2021 13:54

Nothing really, normally go to DH's Mum who is in her 80s and lives alone but she lives in France so DH has not seen her since Feb last year, you are only allowed to go if she dies. But she at least has her much younger sister not too far away and nice neighbours. Not sure if we'll be allowed all of this year but at least she finally got vaccinated.

On Friday we have the lido booked but the forecast is for 9C and its fully booked and I'm still not vaccinated and asthma is bad so don't think that will happen. Nothing to do really until 12th April here.

Babdoc · 01/04/2021 14:00

Bit mixed here. Delighted at seeing one DD after 6 months apart.
But sad I can’t go to my church for the Easter service - DD’s partner has been shielding with heart disease, and although now both he and I are vaccinated, and church is fully distanced, masked and sanitised, he’s still anxious in case I bring Covid back with me.
I will make do with Easter from Kings on tv, and enjoy roast lamb, hot x buns and Easter eggs, plus a walk round the local loch.
My other DD I can’t see at all, as she is not in my bubble and lives 50 miles away, but if Sturgeon ever releases the excessive (and ineffective - we have a higher case rate than England, despite being stricter- ) lockdown, we will be having a weekend together.

AlwaysLatte · 01/04/2021 14:10

Easter egg hunt in the morning then a big roast beef lunch with my mum and possible my Dad, brother and nephew as well.

SandrasAnnoyingFriend · 01/04/2021 14:23

@emmathedilemma

nothing because my family are over 200 miles away but thanks for the reminder that I still can't visit them
Had you forgotten then? What a snarky response to a perfectly reasonable question.
Scbchl · 01/04/2021 15:03

@trumpisaflump yes you can, we have been allowed in other people's gardens in Scotland since March 12th. Four adults and kids under 12 don't count.

Scbchl · 01/04/2021 15:04

We will go visit my dad in his garden then will take the kids a walk..home for a roast and games.

katand2kits · 01/04/2021 15:05

Eating chocolate eggs for breakfast then carrying on with our day as normal. Usually we would visit my parents but obviously not possible this time.

thismeansnothing · 01/04/2021 15:06

Nothing. I work nights so it's no different in this house

moochingtothepub · 01/04/2021 15:07

Church with dd then cooking dinner for all of us. Cant see dd2 as too far
