Anybody never had a covid test

Just interested from another thread.

Me, Dh and ds none
Dd at uni, several.

OP posts:
Foldinthecheese · 22/03/2021 20:06

I haven’t, and neither has 2yo DD. Both DSes have for symptoms, and DH has had several for symptoms and travel. We’ll all be having one in a couple of weeks before flying, though. The most exciting family outing we’ve had for months.

SoupDragon · 22/03/2021 20:44

If you've got children in school, surely you have been asked to do two self tests a week?

No.

You can but it is not a requirement.

PufferFishGoneWrong · 22/03/2021 20:44

4 of us and no tests.

I haven’t. DD has had one. DH has had loads of lateral flow tests at work.

BertieBotts · 22/03/2021 20:47

None of us have had one either. DS1 just did his first ever one tonight as he has to do them 3x per week for school now.

delilahbucket · 22/03/2021 20:47

I haven't, dp hasn't. DS has had loads at school and now home testing twice a week.

AlexaShutUp · 22/03/2021 20:48

DH, DD and I have never had a pcr test as we haven't had any symptoms.

We have all opted in to the regular lateral flow testing since dd returned to school.

I also did an antibody test as part of a research study.

Trinacham · 22/03/2021 20:48

Me and DH, and most of our families.

EggysMom · 22/03/2021 20:51

Me and DS - none.

DH - 3, all at pre-op assessments at the hospital so no choice. He still hasn't had the operation. (BP too high at first, 1x op cancelled at short notice, 1x only on standby for op and it didn't happen)

Chicchicchicchiclana · 22/03/2021 20:53

Me. I work from home and have never had symptoms.

BogRollBOGOF · 22/03/2021 20:54

None in our household and no reason to. Never had symptoms in the household. DH working from home and very rarely goes anywhere more exciting than for a walk. I've not done anything more risky than food shopping late at night, Girl Guiding in a park and sitting very socially distanced at the swimming pool during lessons. Most of my life has been in suspended animation for a year, apart from some bursts of outdoor fitness classes.
DCs at a small primary school and have been fortunate not to have cases in their classes.

I also haven't had to bring a ventilator around the supermarket with me despite being unable to cope with face coverings.

Angel2702 · 22/03/2021 20:56

Only started the twice weekly testing when kids went back last week. None of us had had a test for symptoms before then.

Xiaoxiong · 22/03/2021 20:59

DCs never have. I have had just one when randomly selected for one by the ONS last year. DH has probably had 20 or so through work, both PCR and now lateral flow (teacher). We've never had a bubble burst at school or had to isolate as a close contact either.

GreenBalaclava · 22/03/2021 21:00

Neither DH nor I have. DC have at school.

FunnyWonder · 22/03/2021 21:03

Neither me nor DP have been tested. Or DS1. But DS2 has been tested twice due to a fever. Both times negative.

RedGoldAndGreene · 22/03/2021 21:18

I've never had one but my kids at school are testing twice a week now

Mistymountain · 22/03/2021 22:03

I've never had a test, neither has my husband. No symptoms to suggest we needed one

DamnYouAutoCatRectal · 22/03/2021 22:27

I've never had a test, nor have DP and 2 younger DC. Eldest DC has tests at school.

pinkkoala · 22/03/2021 22:31

Me 3x a week as care assistant in care home.
Dd 2x a week as secondary school pupil
Dp he has not been tested at all

Cornishclio · 22/03/2021 22:32

No we haven't had one. No need to. We are retired and although we see our DD2 and SIL and grandchildren as we are in a childcare bubble they both work from home and we don't see anyone else except DD1 who either takes a covid test before coming back (not since Xmas) or isolates for a week first . Never had symptoms either.

RedcurrantPuff · 22/03/2021 22:34

None of the 4 of us have had one.

NeedWineNow · 22/03/2021 22:35

No, not me or DH, or my mum who we are in a bubble with.

RedcurrantPuff · 22/03/2021 22:36

School tests not coming in here until after Easter. One has said he will do them. The other is unsure. I won’t be forcing them.

fluffiphlox · 22/03/2021 22:38

Neither of us have. In fact I only know five people who have knowingly had the virus: three early on in 2020, one at Christmas and one fairly recently but they’re not people I see. I still wonder where and how people are catching it.

Maskedrevenger · 22/03/2021 22:46

None for me despite going out to work throughout the lockdowns, essential work but not one requiring regular testing. DH once (so far) for care home visiting.
