I work in a school so have twice weekly lateral flow tests as does DS as he is secondary age. I have had 2 'proper' tests one as I had symptoms and 1 prior to surgery. Dd had one as she had symptoms. DH hasnt had any.

Panicmode1 · 22/03/2021 16:15

DH and I havent had any, and the 4 DCs only started with the back to school testing.....

Kezzie200 · 22/03/2021 16:17

Me and hubby. None.

Daughter and partner - one each,.both negative.

Son and partner - two each. Son was positive once.

Parents- both had one each as they had to be checked before non COVID medical treatments.

They all live away from us.

MutteringDarkly · 22/03/2021 16:20

Thanks - you've reminded me that I need to test today! We're all doing LFTs twice per week, as per the guidance for all household members of anyone in school or college. A slight faff going to collect the tests from the local centre, but worth it if it keeps the schools open!

EmmaGellerGreen · 22/03/2021 16:39
@EmmaGellerGreen you and your dh should also be having twice weekly LFT.
There is no “should”. We could test twice weekly but neither of us see anyone else inside so it would be a waste of tests. When we start mixing with other households inside, then yes, we will test twice weekly. No one I know who is in our position is wasting tests.

needadvice54321 · 22/03/2021 16:49

DH - none
DS1 - 2 Covid tests- once as part of a trial and second due to symptoms (positive)
DS2 - two LFT through school
Me - one Covid test (inconclusive)

You know you can get them sent to you . I only found out at the weekend and they came the next day .
35andThriving · 22/03/2021 19:23

None for me, ds or dh.

mum11970 · 22/03/2021 19:30

I haven’t had one. Ds (16) hadn’t had one until he went back to school last week and now has to do one twice a week. Dh, dd and ds1 have all had them. Think dd has had more than anyone as she is at uni and lives in a house share.

lljkk · 22/03/2021 19:35

Me & small DS: none.
DH: had symptoms, so 1 x PCR
DD: occupational testing & for Uni classes, mix PCr & LFT. About to get 2nd jab anyway.
Big teen DS: some LFTs at college
Adult DS lives PT away: probably yes, dunno.

No one positive yet.

FuckyouCovid21 · 22/03/2021 19:36

I've had none

Wond3rment · 22/03/2021 19:38

None of the family have needed a COVID test, nor have my parents or 3 siblings

Whysotired · 22/03/2021 19:44

None for my family either. All three of us

Terrylovesyogurt · 22/03/2021 19:46

No one in my family had one either (4 of us). Neither have most of our family/friends

stayingaliveisawayoflife · 22/03/2021 19:51

I had none for the first six months and since then I have had 1 PCR 1 antibody and around 20 lateral flows. I was so worried about having one as I have a severe gag reflex but I now do 2 a week for work and am fine.
Oh and every one has been negative, my
list on the Zoe app has to be scrolled down now!

islockdownoveryet · 22/03/2021 19:58

My first one at the weekend lateral flow.

PilatesPeach · 22/03/2021 19:59

Never. Having a minor op this week and have to have a lateral flow test first.

GrumpySausage · 22/03/2021 20:00

4 in our house, me, DH and DS never needed one. DD has had 3, all negative.

Now got some of the LFT tests so will be doing DS weekly.

GuiltyPleasure · 22/03/2021 20:02

Weekly PCR and twice weekly lateral flow tests at work. Never had one for symptoms though.

Ghostlyglow · 22/03/2021 20:03

No, never.

loulouljh · 22/03/2021 20:03

None here.

Sootybear · 22/03/2021 20:06

If you've got children in school, surely you have been asked to do two self tests a week? You are certainly entitled to. I just went to a test centre and picked up a load of tests. My partner works in a school and I'm frontline in my job. I did my first test on Sunday, negative.
