Very good news about your DH, Silkies.

It's census day and we haven't yet filled in the form, so that's a job for later. Annoyingly, it's sunny and spring-like where we are, and I'd much rather go for a walk.

So glad to hear about your DH silkie, that must be a weight of your mind.

I filled in our census online when it arrived. The only positive to lockdown is that I could genuinely be 100% sure of where we would all be today

@Silkies That’s great news about your DH! Less so about Rodrigo I hope you manage to relocate him soon, before he finds a friend and you end up with a whole party of Rodrigos 😬

DH has today swapped all the child seat paraphernalia to the small car because the big car is on its way out... it’s very old and bits are starting to fail. We’re hoping to replace it very soon but we’re not sure what the deal is with going to see car dealers at the moment. DH has making the necessary phone calls on his to-do list.

The small car is the same age as the big car but I have owned it since it was brand new and have looked after it - also it’s a Nissan and was definitely built to last. Good old Japanese engineering. Love my mighty Micra. It’s a bit of a squeeze for all of us to get in though. When it was just me and Spuddog, I took the rear seats out entirely so Spud had a massive travel palace for his comfort - he’s always mightily unimpressed that he has since been relegated to the boot like some kind of animal

DH recently changed his car and seemed to be doing online valuations for old one just with photos (though ours was rather knackered, DH was very happy they offered him £900 for it ) he then dropped off car and collected new one from garage - he said its click and collect. Seemed to fill in forms to buy and for DVLA for here.

At the moment we seem only to have Rodrigo, a year ago we had Ferraro for a short while before we blocked the hole he arrived from. DD thinks they are the same mouse but I don't think so as Ferraro was very obedient - I would say down Ferraro and he would go back down his hole whereas Rodrigo takes no notice of me unless I shout. He just puts his little head round sees its just me and carries on. He appears scared of DH though. Silkiecat has been the most excited she's been in about 2 years. Due to lockdown its probably the most excited we've been in since the summer holidays.

@Sunbird24, are you alluding to what I think you are?! I have wanted to ask but didn't as you hadn't mentioned it. I think we should be able to lift the ban on excitement on the thread for this...

I would like to second @EggyPegg’s question and also her proposal for a brief hiatus on the excitement ban if the answer to the question calls for it...!

Oh wow Sunbird that would be very exciting, I thought you were just planning on lots of bored lockdown eating.

This is also the anouncement of a lot of future work, so the excitement would be balanced out nicely.

That's great news about your DH @Silkies. We haven't had a mouse in the house for ages. Our two felines are still plenty spry to catch them. What new car did your DH get?

I have changed 2/5 beds, made roast lamb for lunch (with carrots, peas, cauliflower cheese, broccoli, roast potatoes and yorkshires) 3 loads of laundry on the line and lunchboxes made.

Have got an online baby shower shortly and want to finish the beds before it starts so need to stop procrastinating here and crack on!

I'm not sure MissC It's French and very dull but it works well

I have done lots of lockdown eating (not through boredom, I’ve only managed 3 weeks off work this year!) so there has already been significant weight gain but yes, I’m 7 weeks pregnant 🤭 saw a heartbeat on Friday 💗

I went out earlier to check my oil and water and stopped to listen to a blackbird advertising his availability and was surprised when a second one replied to him from the top of my roof. Lovely and soothing.
