Not wanting to start a bun fight or being goady in the slightest. Just looking for honest opinions, whether they be positive, negative or neutral.

No telly? Grin joking obviously.
I'd have a level of respect tbh as I stuck to one as found the early years v hard tbh.

BrownEyedGirl80 · 16/03/2021 11:17

Dont know why I put tbh twice

Aroundtheworldin80moves · 16/03/2021 11:17

That the parents are permanently exhausted?

Not the slightest bit concerned about the environment

EmmaStone · 16/03/2021 11:19

I know quite a few families with 4+ children. I don't really make any assumptions about them because of the number of children they have, I just take people how they present themselves - number of children has no bearing on that.

MilkTwoSugarsThanks · 16/03/2021 11:19

Would depend on the behaviour and appearance of the kids tbh.

DifficultPifcultLemonDifficult · 16/03/2021 11:19

I have 6 kids, people assume I don't work, 'joke' about not having a TV, that I just had them for the benefits, that my kids are feral and badly brought up.... they are all completely wrong.

TeckanandMultra · 16/03/2021 11:20

6+ children and I automatically think "Hasidic Jewish". I'm Jewish myself and know lots of large ultra-Orthodox families.

MoltenLasagne · 16/03/2021 11:20

Wealthy, possibly religious or other cultural influences. I'd also assume a SAHM.

ScarfaceCwaw · 16/03/2021 11:21

Probably that they like children? Or else are Catholic/Mormon/some other religion that are keen on all teh babiez.

TheresHope · 16/03/2021 11:21

That they must really like kids and being parents. 🤷‍♀️

RedcurrantPuff · 16/03/2021 11:21

4! I wouldn’t think anything, I know loads of people with 4 kids.

5 or 6 I would think they were a bit mad and also that they we’re probably practising Catholics Grin

Toelopeornottoelope · 16/03/2021 11:22

I would assume at-least one SAHP.

mummywithhermini · 16/03/2021 11:23

No assumptions . I will have dc4 in a few months 🤷‍♀️

MeadowHay · 16/03/2021 11:24

That the parents love children/being parents and that they are very brave Grin I would likewise assume there is a SAHM unless there are large age gaps between the kids.

MrsHusky · 16/03/2021 11:24

they're crazy, dont care about the environment and have a lot of money.

afraid i come from a family where its not unusual to have 4+ kids, some have 8 or 9, and i think they're all mad, visiting them is chaos, and i'm afraid the kids are indeed, feral.

TheDuchessOfBeddington · 16/03/2021 11:26

That either they have loads of money, or they don’t intend on contributing towards uni, deposits etc.

Pan2 · 16/03/2021 11:27

You are being a goady fucker, OP. No stated reason for your 'research'.

BigPyjamas · 16/03/2021 11:27

The families I know with 4+ children are either

  • very rich, traditional landed types

Or

  • blended families where one pregnancy was twins. Definitely not as rich as the first.
Chasingsquirrels · 16/03/2021 11:28

That they must really like kids and being parents. 🤷‍♀️

Noisy. Big food bills. Don't arrive invisibly to the party. Lots of practice at conflict resolution.

ChelseeDagger · 16/03/2021 11:31

Pan2

Insult me if you must be with respect, I don't owe you an explanation.
You are at perfect liberty to ignore the post.

Religious, very wealthy or very poor.

RevolvingPivot · 16/03/2021 11:31

Tired

SciFiScream · 16/03/2021 11:33

I try not to make any assumptions about people. Certainly wouldn't in this case.

I might suspect the parents are tired of an evening but that's about it. Grin
