Sorry, that was autocorrect, lizzianthus

I got married in may and I had white roses with lots of eucalyptus for greenery. My bridesmaids had little gypsophila bouquets. All my centre pieces were lots of gyp and greenery. It looked lovely and fresh.

February wedding 30 years ago - flowers re about £250 in total but only had one large display in the chapel as it was lent so had to be removed. This plus bridesmaids posies were white and purple - mainly iris and freesia. I had a big trailing all white bouquet of iris, freesia, daffodils (nod to Wales) and lilies with lots of trailing ivy.

July, and a mix of summer-flowering colours, pinks, yellows, cornflower blues, those carnations that are white with a pink edge.

tigerbread20 · 18/03/2021 18:22

September, I loved my flowers so much. Although they were very very heavy!

Got married in September and had Cezanne roses - white with a pink edge.

Lilies, hot pink gerberas, and roses.

SBAM · 18/03/2021 19:54

I got married in July and the flowers were white and lemon yellow. I had roses, carnations, freesia, gypsophilia, mint, rosemary, eucalyptus and some twiggy bits. It smelt amazing. We’d discussed stocks too and chrysanthemums but I left it up to the florist as long as it was the right colours.

July, carnations and gypsy. My carnations were peach, bridesmaids had other colours depending on their dresses.

Notanotherhun · 18/03/2021 20:09

Three bunches of nice flowers split between myself and 3 bridesmaids. Cheap and pretty. Roses, peonies, stocks.

wizzler · 18/03/2021 23:47

I had orange and cream roses. Florist wanted to use jasmine but I can't bear the smell. I asked for honeysuckle instead and the reception smelt beautifully of it.

RosesAndHellebores · 19/03/2021 00:01

Pale and deeper pink roses, delphinium, a bit of hebe I think and lots of foliage. An overblown Summer affair in the days when bouquets were large and trailed. To be fair I was really disappointed when I saw it but it photographed beautifully.

Blueskyredcloud · 19/03/2021 00:12

Daisies - was quite hard to convince the florist not to stick loads more foliage in - I was really happy with the result too snd glad I didn’t allow the florist to go mad!

JackieTheFart · 19/03/2021 01:07

Peach roses for my bouquet, orange and peach arrangements for the tables but I don’t remember the flowers. I made them myself.

We got married in June.

Autumn bride with Roses

Nutrigrainygoodness · 19/03/2021 08:50

This is mine. I loved it very much. There's Roses, gerbera some green stuff, swarovski crystals.

By the time this photo was taken, them poor flowers had been through so much. Dropped, sat on, left on a table.

Kiki275 if this was recently which wholesaler did you use and did they go to plan?

Kiki275 · 19/03/2021 14:03

@Roystonv it was over 3 years ago but I got them from Triangle Nurseries.

I ordered them a good few days ahead of the wedding so they had chance to open properly. Cut foliage from the garden. I was really pleased with the result, it was just enough for scent & colour but not too big it stopped people chatting across the table.
A friend of a friend made the bouquet, can't claim credit for that x

BobbinThreadbare123 · 19/03/2021 14:10

I had artificial flowers because there's no other way to get a black bouquet. My mum and nan helped me arrange it all. Still got them.

Mmr224 · 19/03/2021 14:18

End of April. We had silk flowers and I made my bouquet, bridesmaids bouquets and buttonholes, as well as doing flowers for the tables. I had dark blue cornflower, thistles, cream roses, lavender, peacock flowers, corn ears and greenery. Bridesmaids had smaller cream roses, tiny thistles, lavender and some tiny blue/purple flowers. Thistle and corn ear buttonholes and the tables had fishbowls on mirrors filled with blue beads and lights, with cream roses. 2012.

Roystonv · 19/03/2021 14:23

Kiki275, thank you, good to know you were pleased as I have them on my list!
