What flowers did you have at your wedding?

I’m hopeless and would like inspo We are getting married in late Spring (May/June time) but thought it be a nice thread to hear from those of you who got married in all seasons - flower threads make me happy

April wedding, I had Fresia in there, they were my Mums favourite and she died before the wedding. The flowers were my favourite part of the day. I gave the florist a colour scheme, that fresia had to be in there and a bouquet shape and she worked magic!!

April and I had deep purple irises and yellow roses. They were so beautiful.

May - red roses. Husband is from Lancashire

Sunflowers 🌻 and Gypsophila
Simple but bright.

Florists did bouquets and me and my friends did the venue (jars, lots and lots of jars with sunflowers!)

Not my bouquet, which is probably too outing, but if I were getting married in May/June time, I’d have lilac like this. Would smell wonderful. Could probably do it yourself too and save some money.

My favourite flowers are daffodils. I wanted these in my bouquet when I got married but allowed myself to be talked out of it because ‘they're not wedding flowers’.

Early April - white anemones for my bouquet hand tied with a sage ribbon. There were arrangements of ranunculus, peonies and freesia on the tables.

Got married early June: cornflower, love in the mist, lysianthus and freesia were the ones I asked for, and gave florist free reign to fill in everything else

Cream roses and blue delphiniums. They were everywhere, I loved them so much.

White roses, orange gerberas and sunflowers.. Hand-tied with a teal ribbon.. I bought loads of vintage vases and filled them with sunflowrs, gerberas and baby's breath for the tables. Really simple.

Early September, red roses - England were playing that day.

August. Very low key indoor wedding, no floral decorations, just a bouquet and one buttonhole. I had large blue thistles, eucalyptus and cream roses. The eucalyptus had the most wonderful scent.

My bouquet had red roses, stock and greenery.
Bridesmaids had tulips.
Orchids on the tables at the reception.
Roses for buttonholes.

None, I completely forgot them, it was a December wedding and no one noticed

Omg I actually don't know the names. I didn't want flowers. But everyone kept on. So I just gave the florist one of the ties to get the color and said do as you wish this is the budget basically. Its sounds awful but she was excited to suorise me (i know her) she also did the toddler an artificial posey as we knew she'd trash it.. And she managed to ruin the artificial ones so I'd imagine if she had a real posy it would of been petals by time she'd got there lol

well that's not true. I had a rose to carry.

at my friends wedding, we all were given a flower if we sat on the end of a pew, and she collected them as she went down the aisle - her bouquet grew as she walked - was lovely, and she ais it helped calm her nerves a bit :)

Ivory, cream and Grand Prix roses, thistles, succulents, berries and eucalyptus. October wedding.

I really love that the wild, trailing bouquets are back in fashion. I think they are beautiful.

Married in feb. Had a cream bouquet. I think roses. Maybe freesia? Bridesmaids had cream with a bit of light blue. They had light blue dresses.

We got married in late spring but that didn't have any bearing on the flowers because I had fake ones. White & purple roses with little crystals in the centre of each one. I have no idea what decorated the register office or the pub's function room though because we didn't want to pay any more than we needed!

None! I carried nothing.
Had a few fake table decorations only on a couple of tables, hate all the clutter and no one mentioned it.
Saved a fortune too 😁.

I got married almost ten years ago (a few weeks away). Wish I hadn’t!
But my choice was David Austin roses - you can’t buy them to grow, but the gorgeous peach ones.. and amnesia roses in my bouquet.
The groomsmen had an amnesia rose.

This was our flower list, all real flowers:
Loose teardrop of all red roses - bride.
Slightly smaller loose teardrop of mixed shades of pink roses - only bridesmaid.
1 throw bouquet of red and cream roses.
3 double red rose buttonholes - groom, best man and father of bride.
1 single red rose buttonhole - ring bearer.
2 corsages - mother of bride and mother of groom.
30 carnations - all other guests.
All the roses had diamanté’s in the centre, and the bride bouquet had smaller ones on all the petals as well.
Then there was the flower girls basket that was all pink roses attached. This was artificial due to her age.
