Mummy195 - I see you're still valiantly defending M&H's corner. To go further with the boxing analogy:
The UK public are watching a once in a generation boxing match which has been heavily promoted. However, nothing went as hoped and we're watching as the referee counts to 10. We're only at number 1 at the moment - there's a long slow way until 10, or so it seems from the losing boxer's point of view.
The boxer was very confident and thought it would be an easy fight and he'd be able to produce one knockout punch early in the match and claim victory.
The losing boxer put everything he had into that punch but it missed the intended target and was left reeling. He then started taking punches left, right and centre after leaving himself so foolishly exposed.
The viewers and the referee know for sure by everything that led up to the boxer being "counted to 10" that the boxer is on his way out of the ring on a stretcher, never to return.
The audience and the referee are not holding their breath as the fight is clearly lost. In fact, some of the audience are getting up from their seats and leaving the arena.
Except, the boxer and the hardcore fans that is - they think if the referee would just give him one more chance he'll be able to show what he's made of.
However, losing always starts a long, long while before the actual final countdown to 10.
M&H are the losing boxer that lost the fight in that analogy, if you're not clear.
As I say, we're only at 1/10 so far - but the fight is lost, they and you just don't know it yet.
