Brilliant to hear this. They have approached three charities in UK including Mind and a charity to increase diversity in the media and press.

Great, doing good based on their experiences.

The UK public see through this now. Even those that fell for the interview are pissed off with the extras and the revelations they we lying on a fair few points

The American media is still trying to cancel out anyone that speaks out. However social media there and smaller publications are starting to murmur the truth. Not their TRUTH but the actual facts

toffeebutterpopcorn · 17/03/2021 17:00

I can’t believe that no one advised them that this could spectacularly blow up. Do they really believe that Oprah is their fairy godmother and wouldn’t leap at the opportunity of an interview by someone further up the pecking line to put ‘their truth’ out there?

They think that they are controlling their narrative but sadly they aren’t.

missbridgerton · 17/03/2021 17:04

I think William and Catherine's kids will be incredibly grounded. They seem to have learned from the mistakes of previous generations leaving kids to be raised locked away in nurseries with nannies, and boarding schools. They seem actively involved in giving them as normal a childhood as they are able whilst teaching them the protocol of life as a royal.

I think Meghan and Harry need to get some decent PR on board now and actually listen to them if they want to stay relevant. They could have acheived so much good through their positions, but their greed and petulance has to tamed. They seem to be their own worst enemies right now.

@Truelymadlydeeplysomeonesmum

The lastest from their new voice box Gayle king. Apparently the poor innocent darling never met to label the family racist at all (Yeh right. They have realised that the general public are pissed off and now they are playing victim again and back peddling)

"It's frustrating for them to see that it's a racial conversation about the Royal Family when all they wanted all along was for the royals to intervene and tell the Press to stop with the unfair, inaccurate, false stories that definitely have a racial slant."

' nEW vOiCe Box'

Unlike the ,'voicebox' the RF have had for the past four years in the form of 'leaks'?Hmm

For someone without a voice, KM is doing a great job of having her voice heard:

If it's good for the goose ...

I think you have forgotten the friends on Twitter since the engagement and the muppet co writer with his book.

ListeningQuietly · 17/03/2021 17:26

The tide is turning against the RF
You are clearly very young if you think the current situation is anywhere near as bad as its been in the last few decades.

The Royal Family has weathered much much worse.
And the core of the family know that major change will come after the Queen dies.

Harry was meant to be inside the tent being protected.
He chose to leave.
His dad is bunging him money every month.
His brother might not.

Ah but remember that Catherine wasn’t ‘in the media’ before, and William seems to be a very different character from Harry. Both lost their mum - and a lot of people live through absolute trauma in their childhoods) but some do come out the other end less damaged than others.

Quite LQ
SoWhyNot · 17/03/2021 20:58

Mind state this but the whole interview contradicted this, so how can either Harry or Meghan continue to be involved with them now?

Maybe she will throw him to the wolves in the next interview?

ListeningQuietly · 17/03/2021 21:08

Sowhynot
Way up thread I linked to the Mind Patrons page.
M&H do not appear
because all of their patrons are UK based people
with acknowledged need for support in the past.

Truelymadlydeeplysomeonesmum · 17/03/2021 21:09

So long as they hand over a large donation does it matter. I don't think Haz and Me-gain will be allowed to give therapy Grin Get therapy would be a good idea but not being hands on with people. Maybe they can Zoom call to open stuff. So long as they don't enter the UK which cares. Charities need the money at the moment.

How would they hand over a large donation? They do not have the money to do that hence why they are palming off his dad every month. and their expenses are sky high

NOWHERE in any of their websites do they talk about handing over their own dosh

On Mind’s homepage the opening sentence is about being led by Harry.
SoWhyNot · 17/03/2021 21:20

Sorry, not the homepage, the campaigns page, but they have multiple references to him. He is still very much involved with them. www.mind.org.uk/news-campaigns/campaigns/heads-together/

ListeningQuietly · 17/03/2021 21:25

Sowhynot
That picture predates his marriage
and the Royals DO NOT give money to charities.

Indeed Archewell has made a donation
www.mind.org.uk/news-campaigns/news/mind-thanks-archewell-foundation-for-donation/
but that is not H&M handing over their own dosh

they solicit donations and pass them on

Truelymadlydeeplysomeonesmum · 17/03/2021 21:28

After the interview they were reported to have handed over a large sum to MIND. It did sound like the first time that happened though. MIND were then obliged to release a positive statement about how wonderful that was etc

I will see if I can find the article and link it

Truelymadlydeeplysomeonesmum · 17/03/2021 21:28

Oh I see. The article of course made it sound very different

Truelymadlydeeplysomeonesmum · 17/03/2021 21:32

The thing about American foundations is they seem to be very different to our charities. They run much more like a money making business that hands out donations but people do seem to live very comfortable of them too.

GoLightlyontheEarth · 17/03/2021 22:24

If that’s the case, why are donations being given to M and H to hand out to charities? It’s really bizarre. They aren’t giving away their own money so why do they keep letting it be known they are giving ‘donations’?

ListeningQuietly · 17/03/2021 22:34

GoLightly
US tax law regarding such things is a whole different world
and there is a LOT of back scratching and schmoozing

Why else would Donald grump have tried his hand at one?
