My respect for the Duchess has just shot up. For a Royal, this is pretty bold and brave.

Ultimately, herein lies the problem. Women criticising and verbally attacking women gives men their imagined permission to do the same, verbally or otherwise. Now, more than ever, we need to show that we have each others backs and will NOT be ignored...

I like to think that as a woman who has been chased by a horde of men for a decade (albeit with cameras), and as the mother of a daughter, she felt strongly about the murder of a woman by a man

However, far more powerful for me is Jess Phillips MP who, year on year, on International Womens Day, reads out the names in the Houses of Parliament of all those women who have been killed by men . The names took 4 minutes to read out

I agree. The misogyny on here has been a disgrace. Often from posters who like to preach about compassion and #bekind, I note.
