No. Paying private respects means you turn up alone without a fuss.
You can pay private respects by showing your face , to show solidarity.

Private does not= anonymity.
Private means you do it on your own and not as an official duty if you are in the RF.

I know, some women here have been using the words nasty, bullying, coercive, etc just to shut other women down while complaining about women being "meanies" to another woman. They can't see they're also being nasty to other women just for having a different opinion. Solidarity indeed.

This thread started off as a simple observation and recognition of an act of reflection and remembrance. That's it. MN magic turned it into the slanging match we have before us.

She didnt tip anyone off she was going. She didn’t draw attention to herself. There were no official photographers. Good on her. She’s a woman, not just a member of the RF.

They don't turn up to most things, plenty of other women have been taken, murdered etc. So they turn up to all of thise? No they don't.

End of the day for me, her turning up makes no difference, it doesn't make her brave, courageous, wonderful etc doesn't make her better than anyone else for turning up. She might be part of the Royal family and have a title but imo her position isn't going to make that much if a difference. What has her turning up actually achieved? Nothing and it won't.

Oh come off it. No one's tracking anyone or said OP couldn't use her name however she liked. I just noticed the name a few times and ignored it. Then decided to ask because I noticed it again and OP didn't mention it's still her, as most posters would if there's a namechange fail. All sorted now by the way.

@cyclingmad imagine if all the women who went yesterday (and as I stated in my OP I think they're all brave when they were told to stay away and went to fight a worthy cause anyway) has that attitude and no one went.
