I cry at most things Blush especially things like the Good Dinosaur, Up etc... but these are “grown up” and they still make me cry.

The spies goodbye in Agents of Shield, and the bit where all the adults are volunteering to die so that others can live in The 100 Sad

My Girl
Saving Private Ryan
Ghost
One Day

Livpool · 10/03/2021 13:21

@QueenPaw I think I was dehydrated watching Hachi.

Most things make me cry - I am definitely 100% worse since having DS

Cluckycluck · 10/03/2021 13:22

@zukiecat

Shelby dying in Steel Magnolias, and the funeral scene.

Baby Dumbo
Bambi's mother dying

King Arthur's funeral when they push his funereal boat out into the sea, then fire flaming arrows into it to make a pyre.

Captain Von Trapp singing Edelweiss at the concert.

Loads of Last Kingdom ones!

Ragnar The Elder and his wife and father dying.
Uhtred saying "Ragnar" when Ragnar rescues him from the slave ship.
Uhtred finding his baby son's grave.
Halig's death

The saddest TLK moment of all Thyra's death, never get over it

Thyra's death was brutal, I wasn't sure I could continue on with the show after that
zukiecat · 10/03/2021 13:24

@Cluckycluck

Thyra was my favourite character, so frail and vulnerable, but the strongest one of all.

Her death devastated me Sad

QueenPaw · 10/03/2021 13:53

@Livpool same. I honestly looked like I had been punched in the face, it was uncontrollable sobbing

murbblurb · 10/03/2021 13:59

End of Apollo 13. Excuse me, I think I have something in my eye...

Soubriquet · 10/03/2021 14:03

Iceland 2 - England 1. Football Euro 2016.

RevolvingPivot · 10/03/2021 14:07

Not a film but it's a sim for me x

InMySpareTime · 10/03/2021 14:09

@AnswerTheQuestionDamnYourEyes I made the rookie mistake of watching A Monster Calls on a long night flight. I assumed from the picture it was a lovely film about a kindly tree monster. It was not. I must have looked a right state by the time I landed, I was quite dehydrated from all the sobbing.

DartmoorDoughnut · 10/03/2021 14:14

Anything when the dog dies turns me into a blubbering mess, Sam in I Am Legend, A Dogs Purpose/Journey.

MrsJBaptiste · 10/03/2021 14:19

FILMS: Steel Magnolias & Beaches 😓

TV: Call the Midwife & DIY SOS 😭

pinkfluffybunny · 10/03/2021 14:26

Meet Joe black for me. At the end where she realises who Joe is, and then that she'll never see her father again.

If I want a good cry, I'll watch this film.

Wishimaywishimight · 10/03/2021 14:28

Ally McBeal - where Billy collapses in court and Ally tries to give him CPR then goes back to the office to break the news. Billy later appears to her as a ghost and they dance together. I have all the Ally McBeal's on DVD and that makes me cry every time I watch!

Wishimaywishimight · 10/03/2021 14:29

I watched Me Before You (Jojo Moyes) recently and was in floods at the end!

Andante57 · 10/03/2021 14:31

Crash Landing on You.
The scene at the border when Capt Ri and his soldiers are returning to North Korea.
It was heartbreaking.

DartmoorDoughnut · 10/03/2021 14:32

Call the midwife pretty much every week gets me crying.

Yes to War Horse on stage, it was a birthday treat from my brother and I took my DM, my heavily pregnant self and her were both exhausted by the end we were so emotional during it!

MyGorramShip · 10/03/2021 14:37

Another one that cries a lot at Buffy, but especially when Joyce dies and Anya is saying “I don’t understand how this all happens”, because she’s never experienced human death before.

Supernatural finale - “He’ll be along soon” (I won’t say more because spoilers)

Whenever Dean cries in Supernatural, it’s very rare but always gets me.

Greys Anatomy when Meredith says “Dereks dead” (didn’t cry until that part).

MyGorramShip · 10/03/2021 14:38

The Good Wife - Wills shoes in the ER.

DanceForMeColin · 10/03/2021 14:52

@Luckystar1 YY to that episode opener. I’ve rarely been so affected by a show, I still get chills listening to This Women’s Work

I’m a bit of a crier, I think I have cried at nearly every episode of ER ever made

TheSmallClangerWhistlesAgain · 10/03/2021 14:59

The last episode of Blackadder Goes Forth
Nana's death in The Royle Family
The lead-up to the famous brutal Elevator Scene in Drive. The look Ryan Gosling gives Carey Mulligan because he knows it's the last moment before she finds out what he really is.

PepeSilviaDoesNotExist · 10/03/2021 15:01

In Avengers end game Tony Starks final words - ‘I am Iron Man’ then the snap.

I sobbed at the cinema. I get far to attached to my fictional friends.

I cried when Dobby died in HP.

I also cried at criminal minds when haley died. It was a beautifully written scene. Very emotional.

I frequently cry at NCIS and Gibbs losing his family. It’s such a sad character back story.

I can’t even listen to the Up! music without bursting into tears.

Winnie the Pooh movies make me cry also.

No surprise here but sitcoms often make me cry. Modern family, schitts creek, friends, parks and recreation. I’ve even cried during the office.

Well I’m sat here feeling a tad emotional and realising it would probably be easier to tell you what I don’t cry at.

JadeSeahorse · 10/03/2021 15:01

Dances with Wolves when Twosocks - the wolf -finally takes the meat from Kevin Costner's hand. 😢

I am such an old softy where animals are concerned.

TheSmallClangerWhistlesAgain · 10/03/2021 15:07

Apollo 13 gets me too, although the most heart-wrenching account of that is in Andrew Chaikin's book about the Apollo missions. Jim Lovell says thankyou and goodbye to the lander module as they jettison it and wants to make it into the atmosphere so he can at least die on Earth. I was shouting through space and time to him, "Jim, you're going to live to be an old, old man!"

wendz86 · 10/03/2021 15:11

My girl - 'he can't see without his glasses'
Never been kissed - when he runs onto the pitch and kisses her
Stranger Things
Marley and me - first time i watched i was on a plane which was embarrassing.
