I cry at most things Blush especially things like the Good Dinosaur, Up etc... but these are “grown up” and they still make me cry.

The spies goodbye in Agents of Shield, and the bit where all the adults are volunteering to die so that others can live in The 100 Sad

the bit in shawshank where brooks is talking about
how life is outside prison. especially when he says about trying to keep up with packing bags at work but that his hands hurt and when he says he goes to the park to see if he can see his bird. and then he hangs himself. makes me sob every time!

EnglishBreakfastTea · 11/03/2021 08:49

The scene that sets me off every time is Tony Stark's funeral in Avengers Endgame when his hologram says to his daughter "love you 3000"

Philadelphia, and castaway when Tom hanks visits his wife and her new husband

That scene annoys me too

I mean Romanoff dies too but no one is acknowledging her funeral

Oh god I cry at everything. Gladiator when Maximus dies and when he is being taunted about what happened to his wife and son. Marley and Men- watched it when i was about 8 months pregnant, error. A Little Princess. Brookes in Shawshank gets me every time. Life is Beautiful. The SIDs death in Trainspotting. Homeward Bound. The scene in Titanic of those left on the boat - the mother tucking her children into bed - I'm now actually crying.

Whylurkwhenicanjoinin · 11/03/2021 11:14

Oh gosh that's just reminded me of another one!

The Black Beauty film with Sean Bean in it, the end when Beauty is at the market to be sold, looking as if he's given up on life, and he recognises the voice of his old "master" and whickers at him

SinisterBumFacedCat · 11/03/2021 12:11

Anything to do with Pats death in Ghosts, especially when he forgives his now grown up killer. That “hello Skip” moment.

SingingSands · 11/03/2021 13:36

The remake of Pete's Dragon, I just start crying from when they capture Elliot and don't stop until about 20 mins after the end credits!

Clawdy · 11/03/2021 13:51

The last scene of Carousel. Saw it as a small girl at the cinema, and remember my dad's worried face as I broke down crying!

Clawdy · 11/03/2021 14:05

The last scene of Nowhere Boy, as he walks up the street into his future. John was never my favourite Beatle, but that scene had me sobbing.

bjjgirl · 11/03/2021 14:19

Alley mcbeal in the court room when billy is speaking just before he dies

Trainspotting death is not SIDS, it's child neglect. And it's horrifying Confused
bjjgirl · 11/03/2021 14:27

Happy valley series 1 where the police officer gets murdered

OhToBeASeahorse · 11/03/2021 15:00

Apologies, you are right. It was indeed horrifying - hence my tears.

Another one - Patch Adams, where he speaks at his murdered girlfriend's funeral.

Creamcrackersandricecakes · 11/03/2021 15:30

Les Mis - when Fantine is dying and she's hallucinating that she can see Cosette. When she says to ValJean, 'take my child, I give her to your keeping...' SadSad

The end of Marley and Me, 'you were a great dog, Marley'

The end of Mamma Mia 2, Donna and Sophie singing in the chapel, '...you're my one and only...' - DD is my only child and this bit makes me literally howl.

It's A Sin, Colin dying, 'I don't want to die mammy' Sad

I, Daniel Blake - Katie's speech at the funeral

War Horse, (play and film) - too many to mention, but the bit where Topthorn collapses and dies is particularly SadSad

About Time - when they have one last walk on the beach together

Inside Out - Bing Bong, 'take Riley to the moon for me' Sad

The Good Dinosaur - when they communicate that both of them have lost their families

Black Beauty - Ginger being cruelly abused and then dying

Creamcrackersandricecakes · 11/03/2021 15:33

Just thought of another one

Jim's letter to Eleven in Stranger Things. Dear God, even DH started bawling at that.

Soubriquet · 11/03/2021 15:38

I always cry in mama Mia one when they sing slipping through my fingers Sad

I can't bear that one either! Proper sobbing! DD is like, oh my god, I'm not watching this with you, you're so embarrassing.
Ratonastick · 11/03/2021 17:13

I saw War Horse at the NT with my brother. By the end we were both properly snotty gulpy sobbing and holding hands.

And the bit in ET when his light goes out. I was channel hopping and switched it on about 2 minutes before that bit and still ended up a leaky mess!

BraveBananaBadge · 11/03/2021 17:21

Nothing for Toy Story 4? "She'll be okay... Bonnie will be okay" has me going all the way to the end. It's those little details (like the furnace in TS3), the bit where Jessie puts her hand on Buzz's shoulder as they're driving away always chokes me up!

Every time I watch Les Mis the waterworks start earlier, last time I think I only got a few minutes in when Colm Wilkinson appears as the priest, for some reason 😂.

Sobloodyexhausted · 11/03/2021 17:22

The end scene in Amelie where she’s baking... gulp!

The Life of Pi when the tiger walks off into the jungle.

The scene in Up where they realise they can’t have babies.

Chimeraforce · 11/03/2021 17:33

Beaches when she's sat on the beach watching her daughter play and dies 😭😭😭 and the music.

AliceMcK · 14/03/2021 16:18

I watched Trial by Fire last night and I was sobbing.

Practicalprat · 14/03/2021 19:55

John Hurt in Champions, the story about his cancer and Aldanti getting fit for National, true story has me blubbing.

itwillallbeokay · 18/04/2021 15:05
