Can you go back to the Daily Mail comments section. The U.K. television is monitored by Ofcom, payed for with taxpayers money. I’m sure you would not be happy for terrorists to spout their opinions just because of ‘free speech’. Exactly the same with Piers Morgan, his comments were disgusting and anyone who agrees with him is an embarrassment to this country.

I often thought piers spouted some shit, a lot of which I disagreed with but I defend his right to have an opinion and to voice it.

He has now been cancelled for having the ‘wrong opinion’ too many times. No doubt he will be replaced with with someone with the right opinion.

A quick google shows the headline 'Alex Beresford says he was asked what shade of cocoa his child would be' so it's more than virtue signalling in this case.

Yes he said this on the show this morning.

He also made some excellent points when his cousin was murdered via knife crime over a year ago.

He understands what it's like to grow up black. He has a place to educate because it comes from a place of experience.

Whatever made PM think he could have an opinion on what racism is I'll never know. He even held Thomas Markles opinion of racism above those who are black. 🤦🏼‍♀️

Oh I think the Palace would have had words after last nights interview and PM comments yesterday and today.

He's very much the driving force behind the vitriol towards MM and I can't believe it's taken this long for him to be pushed out.

They must be so delighted on GMTV.

Thought it was very interesting that he walked out when a man told him that Meghan didn’t have to remain his friend if she didn’t want to.
He obviously doesn’t like to be told that women don’t have to do what he wants.

This afternoon, his last tweet before his “resignation” was to an actress who said he kept asking her who she’s had sex with during an interview. Morgan called her a liar(he likes calling women liars doesn’t he). Then someone showed a complaint against him, at the time, which stated he had indeed kept asking her about her sex life!

Tbh he makes my skin crawl.

Finnnallllyy. he just didn't do interviews, he ranted and raved and never gave anyone a chance to answer or finish what they were saying. it was impossible to watch any segment and he was definitely getting worse. I really don't know how he lasted as long as he did, even if he had never carried on the way he did about MM.

He was very gentle with MM's father today though !

He is a bully. He shouldn’t be on tv and an example of how to treat people. He hasn’t been ‘cancelled’ because he is opinionated. He has been ‘cancelled’ because he is a bully and takes things too far.

He definitely was told to resign. Anyone who thinks he would willingly walk away from his prime time tv spot is deluded.

How dare she insult the doctors & midwives that cared for her during pregnancy. Her private care would have included 24/7 of top advice with regards to any pregnancy concerns. Claiming that no doctor or midwife offered her any help is unbelievable. Come back soon Piers and expose this toxic narcissistic lying woman.

Wow, you must be like super inner circle to know about Meghan's mental health through the entirety of her pregnancy! And being suicidal isn't a pregnancy concern, and isn't something you just casually tell the midwife.

Do you have an actual quote for her saying that no doctor or midwife who knew she was suicidal offered her any help?

MM's father seemed quite unwell to me. Anything other than gentle might not be advisable. Sad Poor man.

Piers does go to far sometimes but I do wonder why Megan didnt talk to her mum as her mum is a trained councillor and was living with them at the time.......but tbh I worry more about kids going to school without breakfast more upsetting that these two brats

Someone close to me was working in the same offices when he was frogmarched out of Canary Wharf by security the day he was sacked by the Daily Mirror for fake photos of soldiers. He should have been finished then not given a prime time slot. He is vile and well done to Alex Beresford for standing up to him while the Stepford wives, Suzanna and Charlotte sit there like dummies.

Suzanna left BBC breakfast for this shite, she looks so dumb sitting there.

He wasn't sacked or walked for having an opinion.

Having an opinion is great and one of the reasons I choose itv over Bbc.

However he went too far. He stops interviewing to get a myriad of opinions from a diverse panel and began to speak over those who he didn't believe gave the right answers - eg those who's answers he didn't agree with.

He went too far. The question I think needs answering is whether this was raised previously and informal or formal warning given before today.

Of itv never have any warnings or indications his behaviour was getting out of control up until today they've been complicit in his behaviour and must take some responsibility for allowing it for ratings and income.
