I wonder if the Royal Family stepped in for this to happen

Yes, and if you play the MH or the race card, no-one can say anything to you. Very clever.

Just don't be racist 🤷🏻‍♀️

it's a shame this overshadowed Thomas Markle answering accusations about him. He hasn't even met his sil yet Harry spoke to him like he had crawled out from under a rock when he was poorly after a heart op.

I feel it has all been a bit staged to promote the Oprah interview.

People who suffer from mental health problems in my experience get treated appallingly in this country so it's probably not a bad thing that Megan didn't end up in a and e looking at being sectioned or in the back of a police van it's really not a good experience - this can be the reality of suicidal actions in the UK.

cyclingmad · 09/03/2021 20:08

@PinkTex

Alex the Weatherman. Never heard of him. Hope I never will. Just another virtue signalling woke bandwagonner. Cancel culture is obviously here to stay a lot longer.

The soap "actress" Megan is allowed to accuse people of all kinds of things but no-one can question her high-mightiness (forgetting the bullying and the blood diamonds and general nastiness to the rest of the RF)?

Agree TurtoiseWaters our freedom of speech is being whittled away by the keyboard warriors.

Says alot about you that you defend a man who bullies women, tears them down and thinks that's ok.

People need to remember this about freedom of speech. Its not about being able to say whatever you like:

Under Article 10 of the Human Rights Act 1998, “everyone has the right to freedom of expression” in the UK. But the law states that this freedom “may be subject to formalities, conditions, restrictions or penalties as are prescribed by law and are necessary in a democratic society.

This is quite fun to read

@pinktex you want to get into blood diamonds what are your thoughts on the amount of blood diamonds the Queen has and wears?

RootyT00t · 09/03/2021 20:11

He resigned. ITV accepted it and refused to comment.

If he was sacked they'd have said that.

Chienloup · 09/03/2021 20:11

The man is Teflon. He had a dead child's phone hacked and still salvaged a career, mainly because we are surrounded by small-time versions of Piers Morgan who think he "speaks the truth" and represents them. He'll be back. It's just grim.

TheFairyCaravan · 09/03/2021 20:12

@CaffeineAndCrochet

Delighted. Leaving aside all the MM stuff, his behaviour with Charlotte Hawkins this morning was disgusting.
I completely agree. I text DS1 to tell him, his response was “Good, for commenting on that woman’s skirt this morning? That was so out of order.”

Piers has been a vile bully to Meghan for 3 years. This should have been stopped a long time ago. He’s used his platform to twist and spin every single story that’s ever been published about her. He, along with the Mail and the Sun, are the main reasons why she’s had such a horrible time. Let’s hope he’s the first of many to fall.

littlepattilou · 09/03/2021 20:13

@Turth

A bloody great day for women, he is odious and scathing and just revolting.
And those are his GOOD points. Grin

@PinkTex you have never heard of Alex Beresford?

Well no-one here has ever heard of you, so jog on eh luv?

littlepattilou · 09/03/2021 20:13

Also @PinkTex I agree with the others, that your comments are vile.

turquoisewaters · 09/03/2021 20:13

@PinkTex

Maybe it's time everyone started to play similar cards so keyboard activists are beaten at their own game

BronwenFrideswide · 09/03/2021 20:14

He never let anyone get a word in edgeways, he would ask a question and then rant on and on and on without letting the person he was asking answer it. He loved the sound of his own voice.

wusbanker · 09/03/2021 20:15

I don't blame Susannah for not standing up to him. He's always been the centre of the show and could have got her replaced if she'd started mouthing off, I'd imagine.

It's all well and good saying that someone should have spoken up but it's scary, especially on national TV - if she had challenged him and the public took his side then her career would be over.

ITV should have fired him long ago, and I do blame them for facilitating his hatred for this long.

Aw, are you bored down there in your mum's cellar?

justasking111 · 09/03/2021 20:15

Andrew Neil has set up a new news channel called GB news starts transmission next month. Reckon that's where PM is heading

teentipans · 09/03/2021 20:15

I think you've been watching too many soaps.

JustSaying101 · 09/03/2021 20:17

Laters Piers! I hope his wife has had a chat with him about his obsession with Meghan too. Very odd behaviour indeed.

I’m gutted. Wont watch anymore, it’ll be boring.

WhatTheActualFreshHell · 09/03/2021 20:18

I like him

Seasthedaytoday · 09/03/2021 20:18

Will Susannah stay without him?

Crookairroad · 09/03/2021 20:19

@Goingferalonfurlough

Archewell Foundation is an impact-driven non-profit created by The Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

‘Archewell Foundation supports the work of The Loveland Foundation, a growing organization that focuses on providing affordable and accessible mental health resources to Black women and girls. With a robust network of mental health partnerships across the country’

Taken from the website of The Archewell Foundation - so why couldn’t Meghan access help for her own mental health problems?

Archewell was set up last year.

Megan’s mental health issues were the year before. Covered on the interview.

Sparklingbrook · 09/03/2021 20:19

@Seasthedaytoday

Will Susannah stay without him?
I did wonder, I guess it depends who she gets as a replacement.
itsgettingwierd · 09/03/2021 20:21

The problem with Piers is that he began to feel that he was untouchable and continued to push the boundaries

Totally agree with this.

He appears to have a good media blackout on his actions.

He sat there one day ranting about ministers being morons for keeping boarders open. For allowing Christmas mixing. That anyone with any common sense wouldn't mix. That all we have to do is suck up one Christmas and stay at home. He stated he'd be staying at home with his family. Yet his son went to his house and he went to Antigua.

Yet only one media outlet reported this from what I saw. Why and how?

And yes, it was legal blah blah. But if you spout your position whilst insulting others for making decisions you deem wrong you then stand by your position - if you have integrity.

He skated H and M for mentioning carbon footprint then using a private jet. One of the few times I agreed with him. He then did exactly what he slated them for.

Calling others out and being given some kind of public pass to do so without the challenge he presents continuously caused his eventual downfall.

It's been extremely obvious for months he's not been on an even keel and heading towards doing a Trump.
