Oh he's been given the push all right. No WAY would he have wanted to go. It's being dressed up as him 'resigning' but I'm not sure how stupid he and ITV think we are. Morgan had said repeatedly that he is not leaving Good Morning Britain, no matter HOW much people complain about him. He said that yesterday on twitter. Not sure if it's still there. CBA to look.

He has said things that others are afraid to say, and many things that other people are thinking, and he made quite good viewing, as he was controversial. But he went too far this time. And his obsession with Meghan Markle was awful to witness. It verged on the bizarre. If I'd been his wife, I would have been really concerned about how he obsessed over Meghan.

I also wonder if the palace had something to do with it. Probably not, but you never know. There was over 40,000 complaints, just since yesterday! That's a LOT!

He made the breakfast show very watchable (rightly or wrongly!) but as I said, he went too far this time. His comments about disbelieving everything Meghan said (especially regarding racism and her mental health) were off the scale unacceptable.

And Kudos to Alex Beresford for calling Piers out. He said 'Meghan has NEVER slagged you off, or even mentioned you, and yet you have been relentless in your attacks on her. Just non-stop.' Piers (like a sulky brat,) stormed off the set.

Funny how he calls people who get upset easily 'snowflakes' when he is the biggest one in the UK right now!

He was why no government ministers would come on for ages , and when they did he literally talked over them and did not listen . Now I am all for holding the government to account but many many things in covid were not as black and white as he made out .If he is so clever and knows all the answers then be an MP . I agree with some things he said but a good journalist should look at both sides of every story . He was just lazy and thought he was right all of the time . If he had kept calmer and made his point respectively he may have been listened to . But no , once there was something in his head , that was it . No going back .

I'm not defending P Morgan, he may have got carried away. But he should have been suspended until the investigation was completed and given the opportunity to apologise for specific statements rather than just 'cancelled' by the pressure of the mob

I predicted a few months ago that Piers would say something that would eventually get him into major trouble and there would be no turning back
It has become obvious that his colleagues dislike him, but have been reluctant to challenge him because of the power he wields.
The problem with Piers is that he began to feel that he was untouchable and continued to push the boundaries

His harassment of Meghan was criminal IMO and stalkerish
He really need therapy

Lets be clear the RF don't step in and correct any mistruths in the press even when it's leaked feom their institution so these ideas of them stepping in now is baseless. The day the RF actually step up and start righting wrong info in the press is the day I might actually have respect because all this keep quiet stiff upper lip hasn't helped them.

I believe this foundation was created because her mental health problems had been dismissed and so it would have been afterward the incidents she was referring to in the interview.

I’m actually really pleased. I don’t take joy in other people’s downfalls but this is long overdue.
