Bloody hell, I miss going on holiday.

Oh yes me too! That would be lovely, seeing the sea in the distance, feeling a warm breeze!

That would be sheer bliss!

You both have great names- I may add crisps and grapes to my imaginary balcony

I was looking as a photo today of DS when he was little stuffing a huge ice cream into his face (he was about 5). He really was a gorgeous little chap and always seems to score free goodies on holiday! This was as lunchtime in a restaurant (he’d just been given a huge piece of chocolate cake when we stoped for a snack in the morning).

I do miss going to beautiful places and eating wonderful food.

Yesss! Or a glass of cold white wine and a plate of savory nibbles.

Sounds lovely, but make it a cold crisp white wine (bottle of) with cold meats, cheeses, fresh crusty bread.
With rain this week, I’m glad I’m on the office working.

Any normalcy would be nice. Sitting in a cafe with coffee and a croissant? Or after work drinks and a nibble in a pub

Swimming in the warm sea with the sun beating down. My children eating ice creams and then snorkelling. Dh chilled out and relaxing- he has a very stressful job. God I miss those days (she says very dramatically) I haven't even got any holidays abroad booked - probably won't be able to afford them when/if all this madness stops either

On the basis that DH and I will both be fully vaccinated by the end of June we’re ver much hoping that our Greece holiday will go ahead at the end of August and we will be doing exactly that 🤞

I'd happily settle for sitting in the garden, listening to the birds, with a book and a glass of something lovely - but it is BLOODY TOO COLD even though it looks nice through the windows 😭

Last weekend I was outside in the sun (SE UK) with a tea and my kindle and it was glorious. I love holidays and can't wait to travel again, but for now I'm just grateful for any sunny days in my back garden 😎🌞

I hate flying. Hate it. But right now I’d fly the bloody plane myself if it meant leaving this plague island and feeling the sun on my face.

In real life though I’ll probably just go to a different supermarket for a change of scene.

I made my husband describe this to me last night when I was feeling blue.
I don't think truly I fully appreciated these times before. There were always other holidays. I am going to enjoy every second of my first holiday back, even the stressful airport bit, ill do a lounge. Ahhh memories.

@NeedWineNow yes we’ve booked for Greece too (early July). Dh is having his send jab in a couple of weeks and I should get my first in April. So I’m praying we get there 🙏
