Apparently it’s already been broadcast!

@AngelicaElizaAndPeggy

If you aren't sure, just click on the daily mail - once it actually ignites into flames and explodes under the sheer mass and weight of its Meghan And Harry Are Evil (But Don't Ask Us About Andrew) coverage, you'll know it's broadcast time.
Brilliant 😂😂👏👏
Crookairroad · 07/03/2021 09:02

@UltraVioletRays

fair bit of outright racism.

Where?

Danny Baker’s tweet springs to mind.
UltraVioletRays · 07/03/2021 09:03

@Mummy195

Responses on this thread prove exactly why that interview is needed. The other royals did not have over 40 articles a day (yes people counted) of negative articles. Kate would go for weeks without any negative coverage.

I suggest you go read my links. Even scanning them, you will cringe at how she was treated.

I've read your links.

There is no comparisons on them from the first few years of Kate and Williams relationship to Meghan and Harry's so they aren't relevant.

People keep trying to use articles about Kate when she'd already spent many, many, many years being cruelly treated and finally been accepted and embraced.

It's disingenuous.

@UltraVioletRays
Sod all to do with the 1/4 black heredity
84% of BAME Britons consider Britain a “somewhat or very” racist country. That’s a very high number. And even if you choose not to read racism into some of the horrible MSM coverage, I personally read dozens of comments below the line of articles about them at the Mail, Telegraph,YT, and other organs which affirmed that reality of modern Britain.

UltraVioletRays · 07/03/2021 09:04

Danny Baker’s tweet springs to mind.

One tweet from one has been. Hardly representative.

Cam77 · 07/03/2021 09:06

@UltraVioletRays
For people who deny institutional racism, it’s always “one bad apple”. Circa 84% of British BAME people disagree with you.

Blessex · 07/03/2021 09:07

Rich people whinging about how hard their lives are and how ‘badly’ they are treated. No thanks. Not interested.

Oh so what you are effectively saying is because Danny Baker is a has been, it’s ok to be racist.

Also your comment above means because Kate had years of negative press, Meghan and possibly any other going forward has to put up with it. What rubbish.

So therefore criticism of Meghan must be racist? Hmm

UltraVioletRays · 07/03/2021 09:10

@Crookairroad

You're completely missing my point AND putting words into my mouth. Don't.

Cam77 · 07/03/2021 09:11

LRich people whinging about how hard their lives are and how ‘badly’ they are treated. No thanks. Not interested.“

I see it more as an outsiders take on Britain’s most powerful and bizarrely dysfunctional family. Potentially interesting.

Pixxie7 · 07/03/2021 09:12

I think that Meghan has realised how popular Diana was and has tried to emulate her, wasn’t it Diana who first referred to the royal family as the firm. When she first came here she was welcomed with open arms.
The other thing Diana and Meghan have in common is they are happy for the press to be involved when it suits them.
There is no need for them to do this interview, they should just get do what they said they wanted and live their lives outside of the royal family.

Cam77 · 07/03/2021 09:14

@UltraVioletRays
I wouldn’t throw around word stuff like “must”. Not all the coverage or criticism was racist. But it’s you who is taking the absolutist stance by effectively saying that significant parts of the criticism most definitely wasn’t fueled partly by racism. From what I know about Britain and the MSM and dozens of comments BTL on various MSM outlets I strongly suspect much of the horrible coverage was partly fueled by racism.

BelleSausage · 07/03/2021 09:14

@Mummy195

So topless photos are not humiliating? Or the title ‘Witt Katie’ or the constant comments on her weight? Or any of the other rubbish. That was an acceptable level of bullying?

Have you gone back and counted all the articles?

Meghan was badly treated. But they are punishing the wrong people by giving this interview. The press will just make more money out of further stories.

Giving a tell all interview to outweigh bad is ridiculous. Because the people who are the most likely to get hurt are yourselves, your friends and family. They have been terribly advised. This will not end well.

You’ve typed your words and they speak volumes.

UltraVioletRays · 07/03/2021 09:17

@Crookairroad yes I'm sure they do speak volumes to someone looking to fuel their agenda.

MrsTabithaTwitchit · 07/03/2021 09:17

You know the worst thing ; the way they are commoditising Diana’s death. The only thing he has to talk about is his grief, now he is receiving thousands of pounds via after dinner speaking, podcasts etc to talk about his grief .

He wasn’t the only person to lose someone that day , what about her mother , her siblings, and yes her other son. They all lost her too.

I notice the Spencer’s aren’t coming out to support them vocally, and they had no problem at his mother’s funeral in saying what they thought. The Spencer’s have been close to the Crown for 400 years , they know which way the wind blows. When the press got too much for her brother he went off to South Africa, he’s said some critical things over the years but never about William or Harry, there’s no way he would damage to chances of a Spencer being King.

Ihatefish · 07/03/2021 09:23

I find the whole thing really butt clenchingly embarrassing, it’s moving from Royalty to talentless tv reality stars.

At the moment they’re kind of lab rats for the media/Hollywood prodding them to get the dirt on something they previously didn’t have access to. Eventually, once they’ve dished the dirt, their cache will rapidly diminish, then what?

Anyone who marries into the royals is ambitious, so much sacrifice of self is needed to join The Firm (I believe this is what. The RF have referred to them self as internally for a long time -not something MM has made up), the person marrying in will undoubtedly make these sacrifices in expectation of something.

I think Kate, with her long courtship knew this and fitted in quite well.

MM seemed to have some sort of fairytale reward for her ambition in her head. She didn’t realise what she actually would have to give up. But the woman clearly expects her marriage to reap rewards. No one young is going to marry into the RF for love only.

Once those rewards disappear, and they will, will she stick around?

UltraVioletRays · 07/03/2021 09:23

Oh so what you are effectively saying is because Danny Baker is a has been, it’s ok to be racist.

Err..... no. I quite clearly stated one tweet is not representative of media coverage or general public opinion.

Also your comment above means because Kate had years of negative press, Meghan and possibly any other going forward has to put up with it. What rubbish.

Erm. No. I quite clearly stated that the comparisons between Kate and Meghans treatment are irrelevant. Kate had many years of cruel treatment in the same time period of her relationship with William - but people choose not to compare the press coverage from this period.

So yes you are definitely missing my points and putting words into my mouth.

BlackCatShadow · 07/03/2021 09:25

Yes, it will definitely blow up the internet when it airs. I wonder how many people will watch the full 2 hours.

Ihatefish · 07/03/2021 09:26

I suspect this commoditisation of guilt has a lot to do with Meghan -I wonder how much she has been winding Harry up on the idea of it’s all the RF fault, you don’t need them you only need me, let’s cut ourselves off from them and make our own way. Roles reversed this set up would be a complete red flag.
Ragwort · 07/03/2021 09:28

And does no one remember the treatment Camilla received when she and Charles publicly announced their relationship?

HmmmmmmInteresting · 07/03/2021 09:30

@billysboy

For a couple that do t like publicity and the press this sure is an odd way of going about things
They never said they don't like publicity 🙄
UntamedWisteria · 07/03/2021 09:30

Relax OP, you won't be able to escape the media coverage once it does air in the US.
