In the general public there was a lot of love for Harry and Meghan in the beginning. Lots of excitement over their wedding and arrival of Archie too. The mood has definitely changed and I don’t believe it’s due to the negative press alone as others have said Kate had and continues to have negative press yet she’s more popular than ever.
I think to continue to say it’s a race issue is really insulting and just not true. If it was genuinely a race issue why would Meghan have been so popular in the early days?
I think for me it’s the way Harry and Meghan have been so tone deaf to everything else around them - feeling sorry for themselves at a time when people are suffering more than every they do not recognise how privileged they are.

Actually the one drop rule is adhered to by black folk more than white in my experience. I have two black parents therefore I am black.

Didn't the anti- M. feeling start when she made that preachy speech about the environment then she took private jets to South of France and to baby shower in New York? Also all the expense of her clothes - eg the £6,000 evening dress; the wedding tantrums (no socks allowed on flower girls; '' I want that tiara'', harry's - ''what M. wants M. gets''etc); the staff that quit after 5a.m. calls from her, the baby birth secrecy drama and no baby photos, moaning while representing Q. on state tour to South Africa plus general moaning. Not to mention her treatment of her father and will he/ won't he go to the wedding ?etc.

Anyone disputing the racist angle/disparity between MM and KM should give this a read - it offers a very factual approach of the differences.

Racism works both ways and not just about skin colour it seems to me that there are a lot of racist remarks made on here about the British. Meghan is of mixed race and she seems to embrace her black side but not the white.

I do feel sorry for Meghan. I think her biggest problem was that she didn’t understand (or care to) that her job and Harry’s were to be the understudies and not the stars.

She’s been an actress for what, twenty years? She craves the limelight and is annoyed that she is being eclipsed by someone not as good as her, who deep down probably doesn’t even want the job. LA just gives her a bigger stage now she and Harry have flounced.

The level of self indulgence to do an interview complaining about your grievances in a sunny LA mansion wearing 10s of thousands of £s of jewellery while people are dying, losing their jobs or just generally struggling through a pandemic begs belief!

On the point of the palace investigating the bully, well they are an employers and staff members have complained about bullying. They have no option but to investigate the complaints and make sure there are policies in place to prevent it in the future.

Within two days of the engagement announcement there was a thread on here entitled 'I'm fucking sick of Meghan and Harry', there then followed pages of digs at Meghan.
Lots of posters saying the relationship was doomed. They weren't even married at that point!
And lots of posters saying similar to 'I can't put my finger on it, but I don't like her'
On the many threads she was called talentless, an airhead, a gold digger and so on

All before the wedding. And that was mirrored everywhere.
