I remember Kate wanted a bollock load of mature trees brought in to line the abbey and royalist media were all "oh what marvelous fun, she is truly expressing her individuality and creativity" or some such guff. I actually liked the trees... but can you IMAGINE if Meghan attempted such frivolity? Lining the chapel with TREES? It would be uproar

I completely agree. I’ve seen an interview with her where she comes across as perfectly normal and genuine.
And then there’s the others with the others with the simpering and coyness. Completely unnecessary.

I am guilty of criticizing her eyeliner. But I am 100% Meghan and Harry. I loved her when I watched suits (every episodes) I am not used to her wearing her makeup this way.

I love her eyeliner in the previews

Exactly right and it makes me sick because women in this country used to be a bit better but now its like everyone wants to live in a Handmaidens Tale.

I don't care whether you like Megan or not - doesn't matter. What matters are unacceptable attacks on her as a woman from "take her baby away" Piers Morgan, to how she holds her pregnant stomach for Gods sake.

The eye liner will be a homage to Diana's infamous interview eye liner. The black dress seems to be a nod to Diana's also infamous "fuck you Charles" dress, worn for an engagement the day Charles' own interview was released.

I hope this causes both eyeliner and black dresses to come back!

I think the reason women joining the totals get slated is more because they are fulfilling a public facing role. The wife of a royal heir comes with expectations.
I’m not sure Husband of Zara, Eugenie or Beatrice matters one way or another really. You don’t see them doing much publicly.
The husbands also don’t throw in their established jobs - Captain Mark Phillips kept his military title instead of claiming a royal one and kept on working in his career.
