i mean the press yes fair game but his family?

You know for a fact this is going to happen?

what that she says the rf silenced and she couldnt say what she wanted-yeah
OliverBabish · 07/03/2021 14:07

I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again:

That family is not a family as us plebs know it. They have to make appointments to see each other etc and there are always middlemen and all that other shit.

Their soul purpose is to stay royal, to keep their status. That’s it. I do wish people would stop behaving like there’s honour in it.

No I will not be watching this click bait ☺️

No-one ever suggested a royal child be removed from a parent because they were angry with them but Piers Morgan did it in the DM. A big fat column too.

My God, did Piers Morgan actually suggest Archie should be removed from Meghan and Harry's care? I knew that legally the Queen (the reigning monarch) has legal custody of children close in the succession and that she has the power to remove the children terrifying ...but I didn't know anyone had actually suggested it be done. Confused

There are few more terrifying threats to get a woman to "behave" than threatening to take her child away. As all abusive men know so well.

willibald · 07/03/2021 14:12

@derxa

I like Oprah Winfrey. Are we allowed to say that? Smile
My grandmother used to forever duff up her name and call her Oh-fra. Since then I can never watch Oprah without that coming into my head. She also called Bono Bonio.
PicsInRed · 07/03/2021 14:13

Just a thought, but how about we all do what's asked of us and play the ball not the player?

Which one is Meghan Markle then?

MN seems to think everyone in the US adores them.

They were two teaser 20 second clips. Not exactly saying that. And there's two hours of it!

Lampzade · 07/03/2021 14:26

@StapMe

It's inappropriate, undignified, mistimed, probably racist and everything else said before. But hell yeah, I'll be watching. I loved a bit of Diana smut, and I'll love watching this pair dig themselves into a hole too. That's my truth.......Smile
That’s your truth. It could be argued that Harry and Meghan want to tell their truth

I have friends and relatives in the US who were not really interested in all things Royal. However, they have seen the attacks on Meghan and Harry and now can’t wait to see the interview. The viewing figures are going to be really high and I don’t think that the Royal Family are going to come out looking good
JeansNTees · 07/03/2021 14:32

Love Oprah, love royal goss, CANNOT WAIT

Not sure I understand the question ... I was referring to addressing the point someone's raised, their actual actions or whatever, as opposed to focusing solely on who's saying or doing it if that makes sense?

I was a fan of them as a couple. Thought it would bring some modernisation to the RF and I liked MM’s outspoken views about racism and sexism.

However, I saw the dough-eyed look she gave him during the ceremony and it was so fake and put on it instantly made me suspicious of her. I agree with a PP who said she comes across as disingenuous.

It’s no excuse for the abhorrent racism she has experienced thanks to the press but I feel she has had her part to play in the situation as a whole (racism aside).

TipToingParent · 07/03/2021 14:35

It will be interesting to see what the adverts are between sections. It will be funny if it is all fuel-guzzling SUVs and Fly Emirates.

I bet they haven't looked into that, have they? Harry and M$ghan will be too busy projecting how much dosh they are going to make.

VladmirsPoutine · 07/03/2021 14:36

I hope it does shed some light in the US - they tend to think of the RF being this benign eccentric family with a friendly nice granny at the helm. They aren't as deferential the royals the Brits are. Hitherto many people weren't that interested in this interview on both sides of the pond but given how shaken the RF and British media appear to be about it it seems everyone and their mother will be watching.

slashlover · 07/03/2021 14:38

@redspecial

didn't Diana say Harry was 'a bit thick'? but posters on here know him better I suppose.
You said earlier that you watched it for 5 minutes and the turned it over so we can't rely on your memory of events.
vlnr77yac · 07/03/2021 14:43

@ PicsInRed - Too right!

There are few more terrifying threats to get a woman to "behave" than threatening to take her child away. As all abusive men know so well..

Yes - Piers used the Queens clause to justify Megans baby being taken. That truly abusive man is paid millions by newspapers, & primetime TV. Which means they like what he says..

We also know powerful people in the RF hate them because they've launched an investigation into her which they never done despite terrible allegations against Prince Andrew.

So yes...Imagine enough people "agree" with Piers' viewpoint and that little suggestion could turn into a whole other thing. Then slippery slope for the rest of us

PicsInRed · 07/03/2021 14:43

dough-eyed look

Love it Grin

You don't like her because she looked lovingly at her husband on her wedding day?

If there’s one day you should give your husband a doe eyed look , it should be on your wedding day. Sorry to be rude, but that’s such a ridiculous thing to say.
Port1aCastis · 07/03/2021 14:51

Dough eyed look? Was it made with self raising or p!ain with baking powder?
