I’m just finishing Hear My Song in Amazon Prime, starring a very young Adrian Dunbar, Tara Fitzgerald and James Nesbit among others.

If you can get through the rousing final five minutes without your toes tapping and your hands clapping you are better than me!

It’s nonsensical, whimsical nostalgia and twee Irish, but marvellous.

Gas, food, Lodging. One of my all time faves, so beautifully acted. No one else I know has heard of it or seen it.

I came here to say White Palace, Hunt for the Wilder People, The Secretary, Dead Again and several others but have been beaten to it. Love The Tall Guy.

Don’t think anyone has mentioned Eagle vs Shark, Maurice or Close My Eyes?

Haven’t read the full thread so not sure if this has been mentioned but The Intouchables is one of my favourite films ever.
@Speak Jive, I mentioned this one the other day. Its fabulous. If you haven't seen it I recommend you watch the Hindu remake.
Same story line but adapted for cultural differences. Still funny!

Freehold. It's really low budget and really original. Love it.

It's about a wide boy estate agent and it's set entirely in his flat. When he goes to work in the mornings something v unexpected happens. It's funny and dark.

Oh and Holy Motors which is bonkers and perfect

An aussie one I think. I bought it for 50p in the works on dvd but no one I've spoken to in real life knows it.

Stanley’s Magic Garden - a firm favourite of mine as a child but cannot even find it anywhere now?!

I’ve seen It Could Happen to You! I saw it at the cinema and don’t remember much of it though. Nicholas Cage is an odd choice for a romcom.

The Bells are Ringing - it’s a musical with Dean Martin that I stumbled across on TV one afternoon and nobody, in the UK at least, seems to have seen it. Even my musical nerd friends. The songs aren’t terribly memorable but I was charmed by it.

Bored Olives - a weird Aussie film I saw one very late night on C4. It follows the lives of the staff of a pizza shop over one night. I had to google to check that one actually existed because it’s pretty obscure.

Car Wash - OK, nearly 40 years since I saw it, but memory was it was very funny.

Strange Magic, it is a kids film by George Lucas. It wasn't really promoted at all, because Disney was too busy promoting Frozen. I was really surprised by how much I enjoyed it when I took the kids to see it at the cinema.

Absolutely loved this! One I could watch with my mum!

I have just tried it on Amazon Video on my PC and through the Amazon Prime ap on the tv and it is playing fine!

Panic in needle park. One of Pacino’s first films and it’s absolutely brilliant.

Speaking of Al, then "Serpico" is pretty damn good.
