Sadiq Khan is shorter at 5ft 4in, Boris is only 5ft 9in but looks taller because he's chunky but the one that shocked me was my beloved Keir Starmer who's only 5ft 8in. He looks like a strapping 6 footer on TV. Devastated I was.

Short and handsome for me, within reason, provided he looks lovely naked 😉 Everything else being equal, I’d far rather be with a man who was on the short side but with a great body, than a tall man who was overweight any day.

Regarding Rishi, he’s not that short, I think he appears taller than he is because he's so slim so it elicits surprised “What, he’s only 5'7"?!” type comments.

Are short men generally less successful because of body confidence issues (caused by bullying and society) and because of recruiting prejudices? The average height for an Indian man is 5'5", so I think you are being a bit harsh on Rishi. He is pretty standard for his ethnicity.

I think it’s the name. One expects a ‘kier starmer’ to be a gorgeous, burly, 6 ft 5 marine and tbf he does hit almost all of those. I certainly wouldn’t kick him out of bed for his height.

As for Rishi, honestly, while I do think he’s perfectly good looking his wife could totally have done better. She very much married down - but they’re happy so that’s all that matters.

My short DH has absolutely zero hang ups about his height. So much so that on the odd occasion someone feels the need to mention it he just doesn't react and they make themselves look a little bit stupid for making such a shallow comment.

If any women have passed DH by previously due to his height then lucky me. He is extremely kind, considerate, funny, romantic, hardworking and good looking.

To be fair Keir Starmer is a very rugged-sounding name. Just to make it a bit worse for the guy I mentioned earlier, his sirname was a word that could be taken to imply short or small - it wasn't literally one of those words, but along those lines. He was very much of the 'make fun of myself before everyone else does it' mentality.

People feel the need to rip it out of DH for soke reason all the time. He tends to laugh it off, he certainly doesn't get offended by it. I think the ones that point it out have issues themselves to be honest!
