Washing machines, am I just brutal?

I need a new one. Dh is baffled that our washing machines don’t last. In 15 years I’ve had four.
I think that’s pretty average, my sisters have only had one each in the same time.

  1. Hotpoint. Basic.
  2. LG awful. I won’t have anything LG ever again
  3. Miele washer dryer. Nice until it was moved into the garage when we moved here. It didn’t like the garage. Paid 3 times for one of their engineers who all said it was not a good place for Miele. When it died again, we just couldn’t be arsed to pay again.
  4. Hotpoint integrated which was in our new build. Been fine but died today.
So am I an appliance killer or is this normal? I do wash stuff everyday so it is used a lot. Dh finds it baffling.

Mine’s a Samsung. Use it pretty much every day sometimes twice a day. Use the top spin regularly and the highest temps at times. I think it’s either 8 or 9 years of use so far so pretty good going.

I think the Bosch we had lasted about 6 years. It was still working but its onboard computer got confused and it was taking forever, repeating parts of the cycle, etc and in doing so was using excess power and water.

We now have a Samsung eco bubble which is coming up to 3 years old I think. Honestly I hate it, it spins noisily, can’t easily be stopped from moving around. I can’t wait for its demise. Wouldn’t buy another.

My Miele was 20 years old and 14 in a garage. It's because it was a washer /dryer ,they always have issues even Mieles.

I've got a beko basic no thrills machine and had it at least 12 years, I only do washing at the weekend so maybe that's why it's lasted so long

I've had a candy for 7 years. It's ok but doesn't like anything over 40. I overload, I shouldn't but I can't bear loads after loads.

My miele is 16 years old and has never skipped a beat. In laws have just replaced a 25 year old miele.

Hotpoint lasted 8 years, Bosch lasted 13 years and have had AEG for 13 years
