Anyone remember Pigeon Street??

I was reading a thread on here about tv series from the 90’s and showed a few to my DD12. She asked what my favourite programme of ‘all time’ was when I was little. After much thought I decided on Pigeon Street. We looked on YouTube and watched a couple of episodes and she looked totally bemused as to why I liked it....

I don’t really know why but it just gives me a warm, happy feeling and I shall be spending tomorrow morning re watching them all!

I loved it too. Especially Long Distance Clara.

Isn't it amazing how things from childhood stick fast in your memory? Hymns from school, early Kylie songs - I'm still word perfect after 30 years.

Haha! My husband and I were singing the song earlier today and my 2 kids were like WTF. I then went into the usual rant of 2 hours of kids tv, no choice when I was a child! I'm not sure they can comprehend what it was like!!

ha that's weird about an hour end up talking to ds about pigeon street and ended up googling it.

yes I loved pigeon street too, it was just really nice to watch.

I was born in 1982 and watched it when I was 3/4, also loved the Raggy Dolls.

Long distance Clara was my childhood role model. I told everyone I wanted to be a lorry driver when I grew up! (I secretly still do but considering I struggle to reverse park my little Ford Fiesta I don't think manoeuvring a juggernaut is the career for me!)
