Is there ANYONE more affected than Gordon Ramsey?

Just that really.

Every single word - every single expression and movement is thought out. Drives me up the wall!

It's not just me is it?

I guess so Grin

I suspect he's trying desperately not to swear, lose his temper or cause offence which is his default setting on other programmes. Perhaps he just wants to be loved? I certainly wouldn't want to be stuck in a lift with him.

BearSoFair · 24/02/2021 12:49

It's not just you!

We caught a bit of a show on the Food Network (I think) and it was like he JUST kept emphasising WHICHEVER word he WANTED for NO real REASON. Infuriating!

Heavymetaldetector · 24/02/2021 12:51

I cannot stand him in any setting. Just CALM DOWN

MargaritasAndFajitas · 24/02/2021 13:01

Thank goodness!

Yes @BearSoFair! It's the random emphasising too. The way he looks down, as though deep in thought, right before answering a question. Even his breathing is thought out!

There's an extremely cringe scene with him in Extras. I can't bear to watch it.

SausagePourHomme · 24/02/2021 14:08

I feel like I'm like this. I am very socially awkward and always thinking "what would a normal person do?"

MargaritasAndFajitas · 24/02/2021 14:19

@JesusInTheCabbageVan, I'm not sure if I can bring myself to click on that link! How cringe are we talking?

Oh @SausagePourHomme, I'm sure you're not on par with Gordon Ramsey! Tbh, I think most people think to themselves "what would a normal person do?" Grin

@MargaritasAndFajitas it's some extremely wooden acting 😬 Being charitable, I think part of the problem is that his lines aren't that funny or well written... but it's nonetheless painful!

lovablequalities · 24/02/2021 15:17

Tillie and The Ramsey Bunch or whatever it's called is so, so cringey. All of them are so embarrassingly affected.

Holothane · 24/02/2021 15:17

Can’t stand the man.

Wellthisisallfuckingmarvellous · 24/02/2021 15:21

He is a bully of epic proportions. I don’t understand why him shouting and swearing and calling people thick is funny. Hideous man.

MargaritasAndFajitas · 24/02/2021 15:35

@lovablequalities, oh yes, I've had the misfortune of seeing that Confused My dd was watching it a couple of years ago and I had to really bite my tongue. The way Gordon kept 'accidentally' popping into the kitchen Hmm "Hey Tills! What are you cooking today? Make sure it's good, huh!"

Arrghh!
😖

The Glasgow Rangers reject is someone I avoid.

Jellycatspyjamas · 24/02/2021 16:00

I know someone who worked with him and said he was really good to work with.

SooMoony · 24/02/2021 16:01

His cosmetic surgery is impressive.

Should have tried for Celtic, much lower standards

You can occasionally see that he's wearing an earpiece while filming these shows, so dunno how much of what he says even comes from him.

It's fascinating just how many things he describes as "the worst / most / best whatever I've seen in my life". You'd think someone so 'successful' would have seen more of the world tbh.

TartanCurtains · 24/02/2021 16:43

I've been in a studio when he's been filming. The second he's not in performing mode, he seems really nice.

I remember that! Ahh, haven't watched Friends for ages.
Ironfloor269 · 24/02/2021 20:05

It's so uncomfortable to watch him. Tillie and the Ramsey Bunch is the most embarrassing programme to watch. So cringe and unnatural.

wondarah · 24/02/2021 20:17

he's a fecking numpty

Ghislainedefeligonde · 24/02/2021 20:20

Clearly I’m in the minority but I really enjoy his cooking related stuff! I think he’s really funny Grin

Matildatoldsuchdreadfullies · 24/02/2021 20:21

But the thing about Tilly and the Ramsey Bunch is it teaches children a valuable lesson - nepotism will always triumph. I find CBBC is very good for this.
