Is there ANYONE more affected than Gordon Ramsey?

Just that really.

Every single word - every single expression and movement is thought out. Drives me up the wall!

It's not just me is it?

He comes across very badly. The final straw for me was him slagging off vegetarians... so famous chef who cares deeply about food blah blah sneers at people who think enough about what they eat and why to follow a specific diet... It came across as so tone deaf and crass, but he’d clearly only thought as far ahead as an opportunity to show how no-nonsense and plain speaking he is. Oh dear Gordon, it’s not as if the foodie ranks are now stuffed full of vegans and plant-based cookbooks and restaurants etc? And we’re all totally not aware of eating environmentally are we? Ooops, twat.

@Ilovemaisie

I like him. I love watching Ramsey's Kitchen Nightmares. Quite frankly a lot of those restaurant owners need yelling at. Best episode ever is the Amy's Baking Company one. Fans of the show will know which episode I mean. It's a legend Grin
We used to love the UK one - can't remember that exact episode though. I'll look it up. One of my favourites was the pub owner who was obsessed with weird shaped plates and kept poking his tongue out in a very sinister way.

Brian at the Fenwick Arms! That's the one.

Quirrelsotherface · 25/02/2021 13:23

Find him a very, very odd person indeed. Very false. The way he and his wife started copying the Beckham's looks was positively creepy.

wincarwoo · 25/02/2021 13:45

@NoProblem123

Whatever he’s doing it’s obviously working - mediocre wanky cooking has made him a billionaire Envy
Have you eaten at one of his restaurants?
hamstersarse · 25/02/2021 13:47

I quite like him 🤷‍♀️

At the very least he’s something different from the bland vanilla presenters of the norm

@PanamaPattie

Can't stand the man. He behaved like a total tool in Cornwall last year - at his "full time" home.
Did you see him on Graham Norton on Friday and his reaction to Cornwall? Odious man!

I have. Best food ever.

Sorry to go against the grain, but I really like him. I'll fetch my coat....

UtterlyUnimaginativeUsername · 25/02/2021 16:25

There was one series of his that I loved - Sunday Lunch, maybe? He was really relaxed and sort of sexy.

HeronLanyon · 25/02/2021 16:33

Listened to Marco Pierre white autobiography and then linked saw a few early 90s clips from Harvey’s - a Wandsworth restaurant of his. Ramsay was a very young fleetingly glimpsed new chef. Some of the same facial stuff going on even then. Some of the same nonsense from the sound of it also. Mpw very interesting towards the end as to why he no longer speaks to him and probably never will.

LadyDanburysHat · 25/02/2021 17:19

@Jellycatspyjamas

I know someone who worked with him and said he was really good to work with.
I am someone who worked for him and I would strongly disagree. He is an awful misogynist pig.

Me too. Was amazing. Also visited the kitchens.
HeronLanyon · 25/02/2021 17:25

Every now and then I do think he shows empathy and a real love of food but I think that was something he did around 10-15 years ago. I thkight his critiques in Hell’s Kitchen (did he do that? Whatever it was called) were sometimes spot on and I didn’t agree with people saying he was mean and too tough at all.
But that was fleeting. I can’t watch him bouncing on his toes and all of his affected gestures and mannerism. Maybe that’s just him. Either way largely think he is insufferable.

SaskiaRembrandt · 25/02/2021 17:34

He had a horrific childhood, I really admire him for turning that around and making something of himself.

I have too! I ate at the Boxwood Cafe once and it was incredible in every respect. Food, service, setting, all just faultless. And that was one of his relatively cheap restaurants.
DragonPoop · 25/02/2021 17:36

Coooor I would though Grin

JesusInTheCabbageVan · 25/02/2021 17:40

I would if he cooked me breakfast afterwards Grin

Aahotep · 25/02/2021 17:45

@DragonPoop yeah I would too

Roszie · 25/02/2021 18:16

Ah I know him and he's lovely. Nothing like his tv persona and his wife and kids are really lovely too.

WishingHopingThinkingPraying · 25/02/2021 23:06

@Roszie many men have a few faces. He's no exception.
