Your favourite TV series that no one else you know has seen

Currently unable to sleep so thought I would ask others!

I feel like I’ve seen everything that’s regularly recommended but I have a few TV shows I love that rarely ever come up in discussions. I figured I would share mine and maybe others could share theirs and we can all find something new to us!

The main ones that come to mind for me are:
Silicon Valley
Barry
Carnivale
Party Dowb

Almost all HBO so harder to get hold of but all absolutely brilliant and worth seeking out.

Also 30 Rock and The Shield - these come up more often but still not widely seen in the UK

@bluebluezoo I can't get dh or my sister to watch it! I have one friend who loves it. It's so frustrating!

Haven't RTFT but I loved Boston Legal - William Shatner was a partner in a law firm along with Candice Bergen, also starred James Spader, Betty White, Tom Selleck, Michael J Fox amongst others. It was ridiculously funny back in 2004 but I suspect there'd be lots of pearl clutching now.

Oh Boston Legal, William Shatner’s finest hour - ‘Denny Crane - never lost, never will.’ I loved the balcony ending to each episode too.

Lovesick, it's on Netflix. I think it's brilliant.

Lucifer - 3 seasons on Prime then dropped by Fox (idiots) picked up by Netflix for season 4 and half of season five, half to come and then no more

The Mentalist and White Collar - really enjoyed both.

This is Us - not watched it - may give it a try.

Greys Anatomy - loved it.

Good Omens - I thought it was rubbish

Designated survivor - people have recommended it - I've tried watching three times - given up

The Good Wife - loved it.

I don't know why people gave such an aversion to subtitled shows - I tend to gravitate towards them if anything.

They are essential for me as I'm really hard of hearing and always get pissed off that so many Prime shows aren't subtitled, whereas all Netflix are.

The Detectorists.

Omg! I can't believe I forgot The Detectorists. Definitely one of the best tv shows out there! It's just so... well I don't know, there's no explanation as to why it's so gripping.

The theme tune is my ringtone And hubby will be getting a "DMDC" hoodie for his birthday.

Mary kills people and Mafia only kills people in the summer, both box sets on 4.

‘Dark’ with subtitles. German and a bit like Stranger Things. Have watched the first season but very complicated. Worth watching just for handsome Magnus.

Supernatural. The only person I don't know from the fandom who has watched it is my sister

I finally finished that show last week, but I kept having to refer to crib notes as I'd forget important plot points. Must confess I watch it dubbed

Ok I've read 5 pages but I need to get on with cooking dinner so:

Superstore! (so glad to see a few others say it, but am adding it in case it convinces someone new to try it. SO good, and a really good insight into American life on everyday struggles such as health insurance. But in an amusing way, somehow!)

Corner Gas. It's on Prime still. Set in Canada. It was probably their biggest show in the time period it was on (idk, late 90s? Early 00's?)

Taskmaster. It took it being moved to C4 for my friends to finally watch it, after listening to me bang on about it for years. Now they love it (and I don't even rate the latest season compared to the previous ones..)

Love ‘Succession’.

Ted Lasso has been my most recent 'find'. Just loved it!! Not sure if it's popular or not, but nobody I've spoken to has watched it, so maybe not. I highly recommend 👍

I LOVE Ted Lasso. Each episode just gets better and better, and all the characters are wonderful. So glad I stuck with it past episode one (and also now have minor crush on Jason Sudekis) and YAY they've just commissioned series 2.

I highly recommend Scandi series The Investigation
And I am in mourning for the fact that they will probably never make series 3 of Mindhunter
