Don't count your chickens, things change quickly.

HazeyJaneII · 21/02/2021 22:44

Oh crap

Awalkinthefreshair · 21/02/2021 22:46

Best get the tissues out then!

This government don't learn from past mistakes, do they?

Monkeytennis97 · 21/02/2021 22:47

Foolish. Utter madness.

Flossie44 · 21/02/2021 22:48

Stupidity

reseda · 21/02/2021 22:48

"All schools to reopen" is an interesting way of wording it. It's not quite the same as "all schoolchildren to be back at once".

Cuddling57 · 21/02/2021 22:49

I think they should have done/do a staggered start. Get the most important years in and let the others stay at home for a few more weeks. Why does it have to be all or nothing?

KeyboardWorriers · 21/02/2021 22:50

I am really not convinced its a great idea. I would much rather it happened gradually.

I am not a teacher. I don't like homeschooling. But we surely should learn from the past

TheUnwindingCableCar · 21/02/2021 22:50

Good

Lilimoon · 21/02/2021 22:50

Absolutely agree Cuddlings.

CrispyLeaves · 21/02/2021 22:51

It says all schools opening, may not mean all year groups are back. It's fairly vague.

converseandjeans · 21/02/2021 22:51

The press have implied all schools in Scotland are back but it's not actually the case. It's a phased return. I think this will be too.

ssd · 21/02/2021 22:51

Weve got a staggered start in Scotland, wee ones back tomorrow and older exam years too

Monkeytennis97 · 21/02/2021 22:51

They are already open though aren't they for kw/v kids.

I want to believe that this means there may be a phased start but I'm sick of second guessing this EA government.

Emmelina · 21/02/2021 22:52

We never actually closed, so “reopen” means nowt.
We may be letting more children come back on the 8th (whether or not this is inviting disaster!).

Norwaydidnthappen · 21/02/2021 22:53

Boris is an idiot so I suspect all children will be back at once. He never learns.

alwaysraining123 · 21/02/2021 22:53

I believe it is all children, all years, all on 8th March

purplebatbear · 21/02/2021 22:54
  1. Schools were never closed.
  2. Reopen to who, exactly?

This wording has been chosen very carefully.
Don't count any chickens just yet...

PregnantGotCovid · 21/02/2021 22:54

All schools are open now. For keyworker and vulnerable kids.

Movinghouse2015 · 21/02/2021 22:54

I'm very surprised if this is true. It does read as if it'll be all pupils.

Monkeytennis97 · 21/02/2021 22:54

It says as much in the Mail online
CurlyhairedAssassin · 21/02/2021 22:55

The article actually says all pupils in all schools, you just can’t see from that photo.

alwaysraining123 · 21/02/2021 22:55

Some (few days) flexibility for testing.

dancemom · 21/02/2021 22:55

Exam years aren't back in Scotland, pupils in exam years who are doing specific practical subjects have some allocated time in school. My dd has 2 hours a fortnight.
