Usually I would spend a good couple of hundred!

No holiday club so I've saved money. Walked to the coop to buy more grapes (we get online shopping every 2 weeks so we don't leave the village) but other than that no extra expenditure. Kids watching telly, DH and I upstairs working as normal.

happytoday73 · 19/02/2021 08:36

Monday .. McDonald's drive through... £15
Tuesday £3.50 drinks on bike ride..
Thursday... Lunch...£24...Parking... 2.50

Chimeraforce · 19/02/2021 08:37

Probably 20.
Tenner on fish, chips and battered sausage 1 night. Lovely.
Tenner on junk food from asda (Easter eggs etc for us).
DD is 14 and been holed up in her pit mainly. Went out together Monday and she's been to the park twice.
I remember when I used to pay 15 daily for holiday club 9-3 plus stuff on my non working days.

WaveOverMe · 19/02/2021 08:38

£5 on icecreams

Woodlandbelle · 19/02/2021 08:39

Mcdonalds drive through 14 quid - that's it.
Went to the park and a walk. Movie at home.

Gotheeunicorns · 19/02/2021 08:40

£25 on fish and chips.
That's it!

lollipoprainbow · 19/02/2021 08:40

I've been to Poundland a few times as my daughter loves the crafty bits in there and the slime and j got her some red noses yesterday for comic relief. So not a lot really !

Echobelly · 19/02/2021 08:42

I was working Monday and Tuesday. Weds i spent £17 in Creams on giant milkshakes. Nothing yesterday. We have a walk today, so expect I'll buy hot chocolate or something at the end.

xyzandabc · 19/02/2021 08:42

Absolutely nothing so far. Though think we might buy a takeaway hot chocolate or cake on our walk today.

Would usually be skiing this week so that's many thousands saved.

InDubiousBattle · 19/02/2021 08:43

I've spent about £25 on stuff to do from Hobbycraft but have some bits left over, £8 on cakes from local cafe and the kids have ordered some lego out of their pocket money. We would normally have spent a load more.

Waxonwaxoff0 · 19/02/2021 08:46

£60 paying for holiday club (I have to work outside the home). Getting a takeaway tonight so another £20.

Ilovelove · 19/02/2021 08:46

On half term Monday- £0
Tuesday -£0
Wednesday- £0
Thursday £5 snacks
Friday - probably get a mac Donald’s

On me
Monday £135 new trainers

Made money
£5.40 on two dresses on eBay 😂 should have just given them to charity!

UncleBrynsMySpaceFriend · 19/02/2021 08:47

Monday - 0
Tuesday- 0
Wednesday - 0
Thursday - £15 on McDonalds. I’d had a 5 hour Teams work meeting and had no time or inclination to make dinner
Today - I’m going to get Costa take away soon so I’ll treat DDs to hot chocolate. About £15

Xiaoxiong · 19/02/2021 08:48

£60 on four litterpickers. We have so far collected 6 full bin bags of litter on our walks just in the last couple of days. Not sure if that should count as a half term spend as we will keep using them in future...

£15 on a round of takeaway hot chocolates.

£40 on a takeaway curry.

£20 on two seasons of Gravity Falls on Amazon Prime.

£20 on two seasons of Lois & Clark - the new adventures of superman, Amazon prime.

WhatHaveIFound · 19/02/2021 08:49

Nothing so far but we wouldn't have been on holiday anyway as DS is in Y11. He'd normally have had tennis lessons though so i've saved quite a bit.

OhAnotherNameChange · 19/02/2021 08:49

£13 yesterday as we are making our own chocolates today for our chocolate shop

£10 on takeaway coffees and doughnuts on a walk through the park

The only positive of lockdown is the inability to spend much money

OhAnotherNameChange · 19/02/2021 08:51

Not sure what happened to the paragraphs in my post!

SimonJT · 19/02/2021 08:51

Maybe £20-25 on crafty bits, £2 each time we have a hot chocolate at the park.

Trying not to think about the cost of unpaid leave.

OhToBeASeahorse · 19/02/2021 08:52

In desperation I've just bought a pikler trangle set so £240.

MaidenoftheSpear · 19/02/2021 08:52

£4.50 - one fudge bar and a plastic tat covered magazine, blatant bribery for yesterday's v reluctant walk!

OhAnotherNameChange · 19/02/2021 08:53

Not sure what happened to the paragraphs in my post!

I can see them using the website, are you on the app?
applecharlotte12 · 19/02/2021 08:54

£25 on a one-to-one boxing session in the park, £5 on a cookie and coffee when out for a walk and about £10 on parking. Bike ride today so might spend another £5 on drinks.

I’d usually take DS swimming and poss even go stay with family for a few days which would cost £150 or so in train fares and food etc.

CountessFrog · 19/02/2021 08:55

Put £20 each on their bank cards and sent them to Boots.

Last two February half terms were spent in London, parting with eye watering amounts of money for west end shows, meals, taxis, water taxis and a trip to Camden market.

Let’s call that a win.

MoneySuperMeerkat · 19/02/2021 08:56

I reckon we've spend £20:

£5 on craft bits
£5 on popcorn/biscuit decorating stuff
£10 on drinks during a long walk

Like you OP we would usually spend a couple of hundred - but I'd rather spend the money. I miss going places, seeing people far more than I need the money (fully aware that's a privileged position)
