I feel your pain. I was at one on Tuesday and it was bloody boring! Lots of fake smiles on multiple screens while we watched the host show us her gifts. Followed by lots of people cooing and ahhing at yet another tiny dress. At least in a real one you can have a natter in the corner whilst this goes on.
I was asked ages ago and really couldn't think of an excuse to get out of it. I have multiple now. Should it happen again.

Have a bottle of wine. It's the only way. Or, find something vital to do-I did a zoom baby shower whilst 'urgently packing to move house' recently and it certiainly took the edge off.
