I don't usually get this - but fancied a change from usual generic Aldi brand.

Makes a lovely cuppa Brew Brew

enjoying the small things in life

Yorkshire Gold is best.

FreakinFrankNFurter · 04/02/2021 10:23

Yorkshire tea is fab but I agree with the pp, Yorkshire Gold is the best

romany4 · 04/02/2021 10:24

I disagree. And I live in Yorkshire!

Sainsbury's own are the best IMO

MyDiamondShoesAreTooTight · 04/02/2021 10:24

The yorkshire gold are nice but i do like ringtons tea bags too

leafygarden42 · 04/02/2021 10:26

OMG - now I'm going to have to try Yorkshire Gold!! Thanks for the heads up.

Might also try the Sainsbury's own one, as don't normally shop there.

For ground coffee I like Tesco Own brand - Italian - strength 4 - I find it quite lush with some double cream in...

It's the secret microclimate we have here.
Hard water Yorkshire bags are my saviour when I cross the border.

I used to love Yorkshire Tea before I developed a tea 'intolerance'. (I'm not sure how to describe it.. but tea makes me ill. I don't think it's a true allergy or anything like that).

ErrolTheDragon · 04/02/2021 10:30

DH and I did a blind tasting on each other of standard Yorkshire Tea vs Gold, and rather to our surprise both of us preferred the former.

We buy it in sacks containing >1000 bags.

Thanksyou poor thing.

Yes!!

I have never tried the gold because I find the ordinary one just perfect.

PLAYJAJADINGDONG · 04/02/2021 10:31

Yorkshire Gold was the only tea allowed in my house until I discovered....
Betty's.

DD and I are properly addicted!

(Same parent company as well so it's not cheating!).

DinosaurDiana · 04/02/2021 10:32

I love Yorkshire Decaff - wouldn’t drink anything else 💕

ilkleymoorbartat · 04/02/2021 10:32

Yorkshire tea original is the best. I agree that gold is literally holding the Lily.

ilkleymoorbartat · 04/02/2021 10:32

That's what I'm on in the evenings.
OddestSock · 04/02/2021 10:38

I've become quite hooked on teapigs every day brew (tea leaves made in a teapot) since working from home. I'm not sure how I'll manage without it if i have to go back to the office.

GingerFoxInAT0phat · 04/02/2021 10:40

Yorkshire tea is top tier in teabags.

IncyWincyGrownUp · 04/02/2021 10:41

I have just rehomed two boxes of PG Tips and a box of Aldi own brand teabags. I much prefer Yorkshire.

LegendDairy · 04/02/2021 10:43

Nope. its just rubbish dusty sweepings from the factory floor like the rest of the own store or label brands.

Bemystarlord · 04/02/2021 10:44

Definitely! I was always a tetleys fan but since having yorkshire i can’t stand it! Will have to try the gold!

peboh · 04/02/2021 10:46

100%
I won't have any other tea brand in the house. I buy the big bags whenever they're available in stores, so I think I have about 3 of them currently under the cupboard to ensure I never run out.
Yorkshire gold is fine, but honestly I much prefer the original.

Dogonahottinroof · 04/02/2021 10:53

Only with Yorkshire water

In fact only with Harrogate water.

FlopMadeMeDoIt · 04/02/2021 10:54

100%. I had this realisation when I moved 'up North' and haven't looked back.

Fluffycloudland77 · 04/02/2021 10:56

Do you remember that episode of eat well for less where they only drank Yorkshire tea and banged on and on about it. They complained bitterly the tea was swapped & how awful the tea tasted.

They hadn’t swapped the tea.

PlinkPlink · 04/02/2021 10:57

Twining Breakfast Tea 👌👌👌
