Would you wear these?

Or would you judge someone you saw wearing them?

Do you think they age a person?

Do you know of any nicer ones? I need sandals for walking that I can also wear in water.

Would you wear these?

I'm a scruffbag & I would love them and not understand why you don't.

Think you need to post this in a shoe-snobs section like Style & Beauty.

ps: here is picture of a shoe that I would judge if forced to have an opinion, torture device for fools.

Would you wear these?
Twinkie01 · 28/01/2021 17:22

In the dark so no one could see them!

PaperMonster · 28/01/2021 17:24

Merrells are great for walking in!

I would....and, in fact, I do! Really comfortable and that's the most important thing to me. Mind you, I am old!! 🤣🤣

ElizaLaLa · 28/01/2021 17:35

@lljkk I like those! 😂

They make me think of these.

I'd wear them for walking and "outdoor activities" that they're designed for, I wouldn't wear them to go out for dinner in!

Howmanysleepsnow · 28/01/2021 18:07

I wear similar for walking on the beach/ on cobbles/ walking in the woods in summer. Mine are grey though so less noticeable (I hope!) I am also old (42).

Medusastill · 28/01/2021 18:21

I have similar for summer dog walking.
Nthingg wrong with shoes designed for a job. I wouldn't wear them out to dinner..but then I don't wear high heels either!
I aso have Merrells snow boots..they are a good make!

ElizaLaLa · 28/01/2021 18:25

42 isn't old! I'm 39.

I’m 62, love Merrels, sorry!

Goneback2school · 28/01/2021 18:30

Saltwater sandals are comfy and are made to be also worn in water.

Deucebumps · 28/01/2021 18:32

I'm 29, have the older style of those Merrells in brown and they're great! Comfy for long walks on uneven ground and because they don't look like 'walking' sandals I can wear them with anything, even my pretty summer dresses. I'm not sure how suitable they are for wearing in water though, I think the suede type bits might rub Smile

ElizaLaLa · 28/01/2021 18:33

I'm looking at skecher reggae slim-vacay now. Very similar but cheaper.

Have a look at Teva and Keen too.

iloveredwine · 28/01/2021 18:35

Pavers have some as well and are so comfortable.

TommyandGina · 28/01/2021 18:37

I've had a couple of pairs exactly the same as these. Really comfortable on my dodgy arthritic 47 year old feet, but no matter how much I cleaned out the fluff, the Velcro kept on coming loose and they would fall off. Definitely recommend Teva as a pp suggested.

MrsVeryTired · 28/01/2021 18:39

Definitely.

I see Merrell as sporty, and they make great boots, trainers, sandals...

ParkheadParadise · 28/01/2021 18:39

It's a NO from me.

TheNorthWind · 28/01/2021 18:43

Yes, I'd wear them. I'm 35. I wouldn't judge them on anyone else either.

I'd think I was only going to wear them for practical things and then end up wearing them constantly because they were so comfy.

I know this because of my own much, much uglier pair from a different brand. So comfy. So hideous. So always on my feet in summer.

Cooroo · 28/01/2021 18:43

Yes they look fine. I have no sense of fashion but don't see the point in high heels as I'd totter about and I like to stride out. I wear walking sandals all summer. And trainers all winter!

itsgettingweird · 28/01/2021 18:47

I've been thinking in advance about decent sandals for walking (although hope this year we can do more than that!)

I like them. The front is pretty and the ankle strap is practical.

ElizaLaLa · 28/01/2021 19:07

I saw the teva ones and they are what I want to avoid.

I think I'll go for the cheapy skechers because I'll probably ruin them in the sea.

They are absolutely awful, sorry. I would never wear them and do think they’d be aging.

Saltwater as someone else mentioned upthread would fit the bill although they’re reasonably pricey.
