Would you wear these?

Or would you judge someone you saw wearing them?

Do you think they age a person?

Do you know of any nicer ones? I need sandals for walking that I can also wear in water.

Would you wear these?

THey don't look very comfortable.

So many straps on a shoe give multiple opportunities for rubbing and blisters, from experience shoes like this always find a way of giving me a sore spot or three.

Where are you hoping to wear them- which country?
I actually think there is no one shoe that is good for wearing in water and great for walking.

raspberryk · 28/01/2021 19:13

I’m early 30’s and wouldn’t be seen dead in them, I think they’re 65+ territory.

Lurkingforawhile · 28/01/2021 19:15

I think some of them are designed for wearing in water as well @ElizaLaLa. My previous pairs have lasted for ages

Personally I wouldn't as I feel they are a little dated although I believe they were very popular with Sparticus and his crowd.

ElizaLaLa · 28/01/2021 19:21

Saltwater look fugly, sorry 🙈

I want them for spain. A lot of the smaller beaches are stony so you need shoes on, ideally.

I'm not going to hike mountains in them, I'll wear trainers for that, just do my 10,000 steps.

The demographic here is very old, most people retire here. They wear worse ones. I was hoping I might not get too much side-eye in this style 😂

I'd wear those or something similar. I'm in my thirties.

I bought these sandals from Birkenstock last year and love them. Comfortable, practical and elegant enough to wear with summer dresses: www.birkenstock.com/gb/lana-natural-leather/lana-pure-naturalleather-0-eva-w_254.html?gclid=Cj0KCQiA3smABhCjARIsAKtrg6JiAY3JoBQTB2a-wWj9y2pYybzHVeIuWaF8OB_VKT3N_NWVXNmxnyIaAjCkEALw_wcB

Well...we all like different things Grin if you’re happy with these, get them and don’t worry what other people think.
ErrolTheDragon · 28/01/2021 19:30

Why would you think sandals specifically designed for active wear would be 'ageing'? Confused
Sure, some older women will wear them because they're comfortable and practical.

Personally I prefer a somewhat chunkier style with one broader toe band rather than lots of thin straps.

TierFourTears · 28/01/2021 19:30

Yes, if appropriate for the activity, I would.
Mine didnt have the clip tho. They were velcro.

marbellamarc · 28/01/2021 19:34

I wouldn't wear them in a million years but I wouldn't judge someone that did.

Emmelina · 28/01/2021 19:36

I have some of these in another colour, they are so nice to walk in! And don’t make me look old at all. That isn’t a flattering photo.

marbellamarc · 28/01/2021 19:36

I do wear these though

Obviouspretzel · 28/01/2021 19:36

They are horrible in my opinion.

ErrolTheDragon · 28/01/2021 19:41

@ErrolTheDragon you said like my dh!

ElizaLaLa · 28/01/2021 19:49

I'm going to go with these.

I like them. I have some Clark's sandals with a similar sole I've had for several years and need replacing .

I would never wear shoes I couldn't walk in though .

Bagelsandbrie · 28/01/2021 19:57

Teva are the trendy equivalent but you said you don’t like those.

They’re okaaaay. I mean walking sandals are never going to be wow are they?! Grin

ErrolTheDragon · 28/01/2021 19:59

Yeah, that really is ageing.

ElizaLaLa · 28/01/2021 21:06

Those teva sandals are exactly the look I wanted to avoid 😂
