I recently found out the name of something which was discontinued years ago and I still mourn.

Terrys Moments - Hexagonal chocolate with a caramel filling inside

Orange Chewits I swear are gone too.

Anything else missed?

There was an oven bake dessert which was like a large maple pecan plait with icing auger drizzled over it. It smelled sooooo good when it came out of the oven and was lovely hot with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Happy days, aaahhh😊

@ThreeKneeRepeater

Mint cracknel chocolate bars. Full of crispy green stuff that went everywhere when you bit into them. Those triangular shaped M and S crisps which were buttery baked potato flavour. I have forgotten what they were called. Nutty bars. Findus Crispy cheese pancakes, always burnt your mouth as the cheese got red hot.
Could the M&S triangle crisps be Deltas? They were salted, and flipping delicious. I still think about them!
ChipsAndKetchup · 28/01/2021 23:07

Toffipops were amazing.

Toast toppers were great too and no alternative now either

@SingToTheSky

I lamented the loss of Turkey twizzlers for years, I had them often with school dinners! But when they finally brought them back they tasted horrible.

I really miss Muddy Pigs from Thorntons - mum would get me one as a treat in town. A flat rectangle of strawberry flavoured chocolate, with “oink” written in pink.

Also one year I’m sure matchmakers did a tropical set - I think they were white chocolate, and tasted like pineapple and mango

They are back!! I saw Twizzlers in Tesco a few days ago. I'm sure they won't be anywhere near as toxic and therefore not as delicious, but they are BACK
SingToTheSky · 28/01/2021 23:22

I searched high and low for weeks when they came back! Was absolutely chuffed to finally find them. But alas. Not worth it.

Still, I’m probably happier knowing they aren’t nice anymore than if I was still pining after the past :o

Borisjohnsonshairbrush · 28/01/2021 23:26

I miss these so much.

I might have to go downstairs and eat a bowl of lucky charms to ease the craving.

They were nice boris

That reminds me - clusters cereal (the one with bran flake type things and little clusters of nuttiness)

I also loved Start cereal.

Ooh, boasters chocolate and hazelnut cookies

DragonPoop · 29/01/2021 00:05

Mine is so random but Asda maybe 8 years ago used to do a tuna steak (cooked) in olive oil in a vacuum sealed pouch (it was the extra special range) and it was heaven, no tinned tuna has even come close!
Batchelors bean feast Bolognese,
Turkey twizzlers (the new ones just are not remotely the same lol)

SingToTheSky · 29/01/2021 00:07

I used to love the orange and lemon slice sweets at Christmas, but a couple of times they did tropical ones which were nice, one was watermelon.

DragonPoop · 29/01/2021 00:21

O and Morrison’s used to do a frozen vegetarian ready meal about 10 years ago- it was farfalle pasta with a mushroom creamy sauce (maybe with a tiny bit of spinach in) it was delicious, I used to have it for my lunch in my first ever job.

SconNotScone · 29/01/2021 07:43

@ChipsAndKetchup Toffeepops are still very much alive and kicking! I frequently get a pack from B&M, Home Bargains or similar.

Also, years ago (probably about 20+) Sainsbury’s used to sell a carrot tray bake by a company called Entenmann’s. It is an American company, that appears to still exist today in some form, but I have never seen their products in the UK in recent years. This carrot cake was amazing, it had the most delicious white whipped icing on top, I can really clearly remember making sure I got a corner slice, so I could get all the icing that had pooled into the corner of the foil tray. Yummm.
Yes! Loved Entenmanns stuff - why the F aren't Sainsbury's bringing it back?!

That was delicious the carrot cake, wasn't it? far better than anything I could've made...

@BIWI 😂😂😂 I love MN. You obviously knew exactly what I meant but decided to point out my mistake with ! for emphasis...well done you 👏🏼

BIWI · 29/01/2021 14:49

... well it could be important if you don't like Cadbury's chocolate any more!

hilariousnamehere · 01/02/2021 19:03

@Justonedayatatime11

I stand by what I said about this being a bad thread! Amazingly, none of this has palm oil in either
CARAMEL TWIRLS?!
Dogscanteatonions · 01/02/2021 19:26

Gypsy cream biscuits - I would buy a packet at lunchtime in sixth form and eat the whole lot.

knittingaddict · 01/02/2021 20:14

@TrimmedMyBush

Sara Lee Pecan Pie....it wasn’t like the ones you see in restaurants, more like a cinnamon bun but was AMAZING.
Oh yes, I remember that! Was indeed amazing.

I still yearn for Symingtons Table Creams. I didn't know they were disappearing so never had a chance to stock up. Makes me sad that I'll never taste those again.

Justonedayatatime11 · 01/02/2021 20:52

@hilariousnamehere they are somewhat addictive...
