I recently found out the name of something which was discontinued years ago and I still mourn.

Terrys Moments - Hexagonal chocolate with a caramel filling inside

Orange Chewits I swear are gone too.

Anything else missed?

I lamented the loss of Turkey twizzlers for years, I had them often with school dinners! But when they finally brought them back they tasted horrible.

I really miss Muddy Pigs from Thorntons - mum would get me one as a treat in town. A flat rectangle of strawberry flavoured chocolate, with “oink” written in pink.

Also one year I’m sure matchmakers did a tropical set - I think they were white chocolate, and tasted like pineapple and mango

SconNotScone · 28/01/2021 22:14

I don’t think anyone has said Mr Kipling fruit pies with custard in. I think they did apple ones, and also apple and blackcurrant, with a delicious little dollop of custard inside. They haven’t done them for years now. However, I recently found Mr Kipling apple, pear and custard crumble-topped tarts in Sainsbury’s, which leads me to believe that Mr Kipling is perfectly capable of making apple, blackcurrant and custard pies, but is simply choosing not to!

SconNotScone · 28/01/2021 22:18

Also, years ago (probably about 20+) Sainsbury’s used to sell a carrot tray bake by a company called Entenmann’s. It is an American company, that appears to still exist today in some form, but I have never seen their products in the UK in recent years. This carrot cake was amazing, it had the most delicious white whipped icing on top, I can really clearly remember making sure I got a corner slice, so I could get all the icing that had pooled into the corner of the foil tray. Yummm.
