How many people does one standard garlic baguette serve in your house?

There's only one of me so I cut it in half but I'd not have it with a pasta dish, too much. Chips and spaghetti hoops - yes please, pasta and garlic bread, no thanks.

What's a winter salad ? Genuinely never heard of a winter salad oops and my lurpak is that good or bad

I have not ever heard of a winter salad - is it a form of Russian salad ?
It makes sense if eating seasonally and not from all over the globe. Not too much in a winter salad I’d fear. Cabbage carrots some winter greens sprouts early wild garlic not the most inspired.

I've just uncharacteristically policed the consumption of a garlic flatbread thanks to this thread.

I've included a diagram for your entertainment to show how distribution went...

Me - 42 32
DH - 44 (today)
DS1 - 8
DS2 - 3

As you can see from my diagram it was fairly even except DS2 (who is still unsold on the whole garlic bread concept) licked his bit and then dropped the rest on the floor. I have no idea if it's final fate if I'm honest.

The one remaining slice was then fairly evenly voted to be the birthday slice so DH snuffled that.

In terms of menu it was served alongside a spaghetti Bolognese and a fairly mediocre salad

It was also accompanied by champagne due to it being DH birthday today but to balance out the universe we had Vienetta for dessert

Just the one person. Which would be my good self.

Been following for a while I'm a greedy pig who could inhale the whole thing but at present 1 is most commonly shared between 2 adults and a toddler split 4/4/1.

For those saying 5 people or more I'm extremely curious as to how you are splitting it, assuming the vast majority of baguettes have 9 pieces??

Just out of curiosity how many pieces do these 5 people eat and how many are children?

When we have it 2. I don't eat it so it's just the piglets

There are only 3 of us but I'd say a serving is 2 slices so that's what me & DS have and DH hoovers up the rest.

I wouldn't buy 2 if there were 4 of us though.

Just want to mention. I buy the lurpack garlic butter from Tesco . It costs around £1.30

My husband and I can polish off a garlic bread between us, but now we have DS, we'd share a slice with him too.

2 or 3. Unless DS is home from uni in which case he will eat a whole one by himself.
