How many people does one standard garlic baguette serve in your house?

3 of us would share it with pasta or chilli so 2 pieces each usually with a extra 1 or 2 for anyone who wants it .
My dd who’s vegetarian will have half a baguette with whatever.

Who’s even counting - or caring about shop bought or artisanal goats butter or anything - isn’t it just one of life’s pure delights.
I know I went on about slicing it lengthways but I just don’t care anymore suddenly, as long as I have some soon.

This thread has cheered me up. All the usual shuddering and horror I've come to expect from MN. The carbs! The carbs! Not to mention palate destruction.

I'm reading this wondering if some posters are buying massive garlic baguettes that I've never seen in the shop. Because the tiddly little things I buy couldn't stretch between 5 or 6. To be fair the ones I buy are only about 36p in Aldi so I don't scrimp on them. I would have one with my 2 small children. Or one between 2 adults.

2 adults one toddler, we buy two because there’s four us but there’s usually a little bit left.

We buy the value ones normally. We are a family of 5. I have one slice, everyone else has 2 (including the end bits. It’s just a side to pasta!

I don’t eat much dessert/sweet stuff/snacks to balance it out.

@Littlewhitedove2 I never eat pasta because I just don't care for it. But garlic bread is delicious with lots of things. I dont think I would bother for one slice.

4, 2 adults and DC ages 6 and 2. When it was just 2 of us we ate half each, then DS1 started having some, then DS2. I think really we should do 1.5 because most people are left wanting more, but 2 would be too much. DS2 would eat 4 or 5 slices if we let him.

When it was just the two of us we had half each, now there's 4 of us we all get 2 bits each but could well eat more haha

2 small slices of garlic bread are nearly half my WW points for a day so I guess it makes sense that a baguette should serve 4.
