I’m assuming not

OP posts:

Usually they do unless roads are closed.

Redshoeblueshoe · 24/01/2021 10:43

Surely it depends where you live. Do you live somewhere very remote ? If not I'd expect delivery as normal

dollymoo · 24/01/2021 10:45

Mines says it's out for delivery this morning

Crocky · 24/01/2021 10:46

We had a couple of inches of snow yesterday and got a delivery.

Crocky · 24/01/2021 10:47

Today we have no more than a vague covering over the grass. No idea what your area is like so bit of a difficult one to answer.

HunterHearstHelmsley · 24/01/2021 10:48

Well you can't get into my street but some other nearby streets are fine...

Sparklingbrook · 24/01/2021 10:55

Depends where you live/how bad the roads are and whether the Amazon delivery driver can get to work from their house. How would we possibly know? Confused

DenisetheMenace · 24/01/2021 10:56

I think their vans are 4 wheel drive? Should be ok.

middleager · 24/01/2021 10:58

We have fairly thick snow here. I've received a message to say my DPD parcel is due, but I'm doubtful looking at the coverage.

SendMeHome · 24/01/2021 10:59

There’s no blanket rule. It’ll depend on where they come from, where you are, and what the journey is like between the two... as well as whether the delivery person feels happy to drive and has a suitable vehicle, if it’s heavier where you are l.

Crappyfridays7 · 24/01/2021 10:59

They do here all weathers...unless roads are impassable?...
Same as post gets delivered food to supermarkets etc and I live in north of Scotland so hopefully you’ll get your Amazon delivery 😆

sundaysgirls · 24/01/2021 10:59

Hello Fresh don't! We live down a short, flat road in an area as flat as a pancake, the main road we live off is clear as anything and yet they won't come Angry

Sparklingbrook · 24/01/2021 11:00

I am suddenly feeling quite sorry for all delivery drivers today TBH.

I am if there is heavy snow but we have got less than an inch and that's only on our side road, the main road which is less than 20 feet from our house is totally clear.
HeronLanyon · 24/01/2021 11:03

It depends on depth of snow and road conditions long the route from despatch to delivery address. You might be bright and sunny but despatch area snowed in.
Snowing rather nicely here in central london !!!

Norwayreally · 24/01/2021 11:03

We had snow a week and half ago and they didn’t deliver on the heaviest day.

We have inches of it here and any delivery driver would struggle. Obviously it totally depends how bad it is in your area.

But even so, do people think that delivery drivers live at the depot? they have to decide whether they themselves can get out and into work!

BellsaRinging · 24/01/2021 11:09

Just got a delivery here. Village with c2 inches and falling, but the roads are clear.

Sparklingbrook · 24/01/2021 11:13

Our local FB page is full of posts about 15 minute journeys taking an hour and a half and vehicles not being able to get up some of the hills. Sad I think if anyone gets a delivery of anything today they should think themselves very fortunate.

Honeyroar · 24/01/2021 11:20

Where are you all with such bad snow?

Sparklingbrook · 24/01/2021 11:23

I am in Worcestershire. Not a flake when I went to bed either. inches thick now. Sad

middleager · 24/01/2021 11:23

Birmingham.

doctorhamster · 24/01/2021 11:26

Lots if snow here and it's still coming down heavily. Can't see where the road stops and the pavement begins on my street so I'm not hopeful for deliveries.

How much snow have you got?!

I live within a mile of a large Amazon warehouse and the roads are clear. I'll be annoyed if my delivery doesn't arrive. So far they say it will.
